  1. Stupid Gas thinks I need a sixer despite owning one years ago and not getting on with it. Since then I had a friends ken smith on a long term loan and still didn't feel I had to own one. Fast forward years and I keep looking at them with that mental itch (GAS) It gets worse as I even think I'd like fretless!! The ONLY way I believe it would work is to get rid or lock away everything else so the only option would be the 6er. Yours Doomed Up North.
  2. Open to trades ?
  3. Thanks folks. As I said it isn't for use with other instruments so I won't be competing for volume. It's more for convenience and being able to practice on the road. Or beach. Or mountain. I have a double bass. That's far from convenient
  4. I'm thinking along the lines of Rick Turner / Rob Allen or similar. Do they have any acoustic volume. Purely for solo practice purposes. Compared to a solid bodied bass is there any increase in tonal volume , not the unamplified finger noise? I'm Not looking for an acoustic by the way. Thanks if you can offer an opinion, as I can't find one of these to try you see.
  5. It's Stephen !
  6. I've seen a few Meridian instruments and they all look stunning!

  21. It was even narrower than I thought! 14mm Here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/267021-withdrawn-larrivee-rb2-custom-6-string-1989-through-neck-flame-maple-masterpiece/page__fromsearch__1 I believe it was also on ebay
  22. I'm not 100% sure but there was a rare L'arrivee 6er for sale on here recently that I think had narrowish spacing. Might be worth a PM
  23. There were a couple that recently appeared on the Warwick forum in a red chrome finish. Like the saying goes, you never see them and then 2 appear within a day of each other. The price has improved slightly ( from a sellers perspective at least)
