1. Looks like an atelier Z, very nice too!
2. Drooled over this beast last time it was up on here. Sadly I don't think my fretless skills are worthy or capable of filling leitnerJoe or Kevs boots so to speak.
3. Ooof Macassar has to be one of my favourite woods. Well specced custom build. Look forward to more videos of it. You're youtube makes me sick
4. I have a strong dislike for pointy basses but something about the big al shape bypasses my usual tastes. Nice in black/maple Always curious how these sound with the 3 pickups. Have an admiring bump
5. That's tasty! I really like the shiny black headstock against the gold hardware and the edge of the maple. Looks much classier than the usual matt black finish. It's not a broadneck is it? Love to hear how this sounds with the maple.
6. Lovin the inlays jimbob!
7. But that was before I'd watched the1st link!! Crikey
8. Yipes!! That 2nd link is quite impressive. Looks like an awful lot of time spent practising these techniques to get it that quick.
9. Was following that on eBay and almost tempted to take a punt. Hope you enjoy it ( but if it turns out to be the best thing you've ever played please don't post it, I'll be pig sick )
10. I like that, the layers of the ebow lines work well together. Checked out some other stuff too. Is that picture of a Rim bass on March 58? How do you find it?
11. Regardless of what you pay or researching sold prices of similar models I still get a pile of lowball offers when selling I've even agreed a price , delivered it for free and then the buyer thought now was the time to haggle over the price! Humans eh
12. You not seen the euro lately Kev? So glad this isn't a broadneck, or I'd be in trouble!!
13. Congrats and also Yeee Harrr ?! Interesting story behind the bearded fella too
14. Wasn't owen doing a 4 to 5 a while back?
15. Another fan here. I was lucky I guess, I bought one that had been specced by someone else, turns out it was probably what I should have chosen if I had custom ordered myself but very unlikely I would've picked a p body. I think the maple jazz neck is a perfect combo for a precision. If any of you are in the north west you're welcome me to try it out. ( but it won't be leaving anytime soon ) GLWTS Karl. They dont seem to stick around long.
16. Dusty, that double neck!!
17.
A close up:
Lovely addition that Kev. How early is it?
18. I think the warwick 90s -09 period was more "all over the place " than all baseball bats. I've played several that were great and a few that weren't. Seems to be a lack of consistency, or maybe design changes over the years but I haven't actually logged all the build years and sat and compared them. My advice is try one and see how you got on with it Regarding the flat wound or not debate. The best sounding fretless I've come across at the moment is wearing a set of roundwound Elixirs. Lovely tone. Flat wounds I find are too thumpy
19. Personally id be scouring the used ads for a warwick fretless bargain. I know of a couple, but they're mine ,all mine I tell ya!!

That's tasty! Really like the headstock wood/ scratchplate combo. Congrats !
21. Haven't had the pleasure of a fretless warwick yet. Any particular model you're interested in? If you haven't already, it would be worth posting this on the warwick forum. http://forum.warwick.de/forumdisplay.php/10-Warwick-Bass
22. I also suffered with Stingray post GAS disappointment Fancied a stingray for years, since seeing Pino playing his fretless one in the 80s, then Flea but never got around to trying one out. Last year I saw one at a good price and bought it on the spot. All I can say is I'm glad it was cheap, it was such an anti climax playing it. It was a classic 4 I think. I later tried a US SUB and much preferred that strangely. I still would like to try an older pre EB just to see, as there must be more to them than the one i had, and I am a huge fan of the Stingray sound.
23.
Just measured it: The string spacing can be adjustet between the extremes of 16.7mm and 18.3mm. I just like the wide spacing, so that's why it's at the widest setting right now.
Thanks for that. Is that control plate covering a cavity or can it be removed?
24.
of course it is !
Ok thanks. ! Can you divulge any more detail? How wide / narrow it can be adjusted?
