1. Nah, they've been producing those designs for 10 years or more. I'm interested in these http://www.basslab.de/pics/instruments/soul/index.html
2. Depends on your age.... But no 28 isn't that young. I wouldn't have guessed she was 28 though.
3. Welcome Specifically looking at the Soul model. As its a hollow body ( actually the whole thing is hollow !) wondering how it sounds? There's loads of samples on the site but mostly all virtuoso types, looking for more traditional playing in a band kinda situation.
4. So does anyone have one they can share any experience of? Any real life experienced users here? Interested to hear what impressions users have. Tonally and practically. How hardwearing is the composite neck and fretwork?
5. Where you located ??
6. Not what I expected at all. I shouldn't be surprised really, the voice is just as mature as her playing in such young talent.
7. And another.... Ain't no mountain high enough http://youtu.be/kAT3aVj-A_E
8. Another piece of Jameson magic, (aren't they all?) but shown in a very watchable format http://youtu.be/At3OP5CvIRY
9. Liking that. I have a bit of a soft spot for Sandberg relics
10. Think I might pull the trigger on this one. I've heard on several occasions that these have been preffered over a later ProI. So going off the pup positions, do these do a decent Jazz tone?
11. It's a never ending growing list. Mark King 80-90s Pino on most of the tracks he played with Gary Numan, D'angelo and countless others. Les Claypool. Flea. Michael Manring. Brian Bromberg. Daniel Romeo. Ben Ezra. Stu Zender. Robert Trujillo - infectious Grooves. Whoever played bass for Pharrell @ Glastonbury this year. McCartney. Recently Joe Dart of Wulfpeck. Jaco obviously. Very rarely the noise I make
12.

That's nice! I kinda like the two tone hardware on the black/brown one. Very early one too. Good score. I've been looking at a 91 model that's from the Japanese factory. What's a fair price for these £500ish?
13. Huh? I thought 5's all had the 2 soap bar pups? Jealous face
14.
"I've got to admit with it being excessively gigged time hasn't been kind to the satin finish, so one evening it got...refinished." -technically it is an upgrade to the finish because as stated it wasn't very hard wearing. Was quite prone to pressure marks and indents because it was quite a soft way of finishing a bass. Knowhere do I claim it to be an "upgrade" in any of my adverts either on here or gumtree. Frankly people can be p*ssy about it but at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. No I just accidentally picked up my blowtorch and scorched it.

To be fair the satin finish wasn't too hard wearing, I see it as an upgrade- can always be sanded back to natural wood and refinished fairly easily
15.
It's not relic'd! Where does it say relic'd on the ad?
Sorry I misread, this thread mentions relic. The for sale ad described it as a refinish or upgrade. I refinished and upgraded my toast earlier today. Was it an intentional refinish? Genuine question
16. We're simple folk. Pictures make us happy.
17. I see what you mean as that Lowend one has some figuring. Maybe the very plain woods got a solid colour finish and figured woods got stained ?
18. I'm sure I read in the past day or so the brass bridges were fitted. I'll try and find the info and double check for you. I've been thinking about getting a pro II lately. Let's seesome pics
19. That's different, in a pleasing way
20. A naked Pro II. Fairly unremarkable wood, I dont know what the original finish was either.
21. Its already for sale on here. I'm kinda lost as to why someone would and then call it a relic. It's f*ckin burnt !!?
22. How have I ever never heard Vulfpeck before ? Impressed Thank you
23. How is this still here? To buy one new or equivalent you're in the £350+ region. The strings were £40
