Nope, they're designed to get that raw edgy jazz bass tone so they're true single coil, but they're VERY quiet unless you've got noisy electronics. I've not had a problem until I bought my current house, I can't even plug in my wife's high end Marantz hifi amp without getting hum there. I'll still be getting SBs in my next ACG though, they sound fantastic! So in summary, not officially noiseless, but VERY quiet
Thanks for that. Is the spacing adjustable? I'm learning that I think I'm happiest on 18-19 ish. Although the status I had was 19 but couldn't get on with it at all.
3.
And I have one First time I can say I own a dream bass!
I would never have guessed that was a maple top! You had a chance to play it yet Kev? Happy bunny? I should leave this thread now. The last thing I need is Wal induced GAS...

THAT IS NICE! Timing sucks though Are the single coils noiseless ?
5. Man thats Shiny! It looks absolutely mint! Congrats! Come on after all those Warwicks and this is your 1st dream bass?
6. Im told its due to the size? Over 130cm longest side…. still trying to sort something out. ho hum Ive been looking at DHL and Ups and arranging collection from Germany, and now my brain is fried. Norway huh? You must know my friend Colin
7. Gosh all these jewels for sale ..... You buying a new house ?
8. Thanks folks. Insurance is needed for definite. Kev do you know which service yours used? Sounds more realistic. (And what have you got now ? )
9. Can anyone recommend a reliable service to send a bass from Germany to UK? The seller I'm speaking to is getting prices of over €400!! From dhl, deutsche post won't do it as its over 120 cm when cased. I've had basses previously from there that cost £50-60 insured. Thanks in advance
10. Weight and scale?
11. It's a lovely thing. Maybe a little description will cause more interest.
12. So warwick fans, is there a difference in sound weight feel etc in thru neck and bolt on thumbs? It's a 2008 build too so maybe not the best neck profile.
13. Anything out there that does the job of a dozen pedals on a neat unit thats ultra flexible/ controllable from a floor switching pedal(s) ? Edumacate me
14. Wow. You have soo much patience !! I'm really impressed by the thread and your perseverance. I truly hope it works out and you are happy when its finished. Top banana !
15. Apologies if I'm stating the obvious here but maybe play quieter? This isn't a sarcastic dig by the way Only this weekend I've been having a similar conversation with friends about home practice volumes. I've noticed whenever I've been to view or deliver a bass I'm amazed at how loud people play at home. I play bass but seriously if they lived next door I'd be properly narked! I don't understand why it needs to be so loud. I'm starting to sound like my dad 30 years ago now, so.... Anyway, good luck in your search. I've used an Irig but I wouldn't recommend getting one
16. Yeah I keep telling myself I've found the one (or two) and then see another that's also the one. I blame BC entirely. Before I found this place of temptation I managed to not buy a bass for 10+ years. I'm currently at 7 major wants....... which has increased by 2 since Friday, and I'm still on the hunt for a DB! Doomed. Anyone got the link to bass wanters anonymous?
17. Oh noooo I'm trying to fight the urge here!!
18. You sir are a bad man. Stop encouraging my want! Come on then let's hear your mb2!!
19. Extreme want face !! Or even a deep 5
20. Lovely headless goodness. I also was mulling this one over. It was a steal! Congrats
21. Great comms and no problems dealing with Kyle. A pleasure to meet. Would happily recommend trading with Kyle again.
22.
Top bloke. Dropped into cardiff enroute from Manchester to Swansea. Showed me all the gizmos on the bass and sat patiently whilst I noodled and wrestled with a decision. Hand delivered to the house. Can't say fairer than that! Cheers Daz
23. .... and adjustable.
24. Thanks ead, I think I've bothered Eude on that subject previously and he was very helpful. Thanks for the link Alan, some great stuff. The hopper fretless gets me every time. Can you retrofit a piezo bridge to any Acg?
25. I've just sold my Finn sc and I'm missing it already even though I've kept it in the case for the past couple of months to try and wean myself off it. Bah. Any acg owners played a 35" low b and a 33" low b? Much difference? Is one "better" or "worse" ? I'm becoming drawn to the recurve 6 currently for sale, at the same time firmly reminding myself I don't really get in with 6ers....... Maybe It's because I haven't tried an ACG 6 yet Any sound samples around of the different pickups / pre amps now available anywhere?
