1. I'll try and weigh it tonight but its not heavy.
2. Volute it is then. Never been a Ric admirer Now what about these Warwicks then.... 27v pre amp??
3.
How old is this bass? That was some serious wear!
I did look it up up against the serial number once. I think it was made around 2003/4.
4. Manchester area but regularly travel down to South Wales and happy to meet up on the way.
5. Back up for sale and now with updated pics. Neck has been refinished due to worn paint. Babies bum smooth and light oil finish.
6.
Did you get my PM re. Dolphin fretless 4?
Yes John and replied with baited breath ...!
7.
The volute really is fine and doesn't effect my playing. It is also quite reassuring having the volute, having seen several and owned one non-volute Warwick with a crack in that area If you are unsure, I would be hesitant about buying it. The market is slow and it may not be a matter of selling it on quickly if it isn't to your liking. You could be stuck with it for months!
Cracked neck?? Never heard of a warwick doing that. Was it over adjusted or warped?? Yeah I know how the market is..... Mind you, there are worse things to be stuck with! I'm awaiting johns reply in the cs4 ......

Moffat Bass Bash 7

Just found this and it sounds like a good weekend. However mrs dazed's ears have pricked up at a night away. Is there anything to do in Moffat to keep her happy?
9. Thanks for the replies. I think the serial is cv4802 which makes it a 2002? Looks like it also has the thicker neck volute carve which I'm not so much a fan of. It's overseas so unable to try it and quite an outlay buying blind. The price is ok, around £1500 with shipping. Hmmmm
10. Thanks Torben I had hoped the same about fretless price but its retail so not a bargain. Can't quite see in the pic but its lined not unlined. Shame but still a beauty.
11. Sold An Epiphone Jack Casady to Paul. A pleasure to deal with. Thanks Paul, hope you enjoy it!
12. I've posted this on the warwick porn thread too Any experiences of a fretless 5 string dolphin pro 1 2001ish with Bart soap bars against an 89 4 string with Bart mm + j ? Owned the 4 for many years and may now have found a 5 for sale. Curious how the sound is with differents pickups and later manufacturing compares? What's a fair price for a 5 like this?

14. Recently aqcuired this Gorgeous Jack Casady bass, just a couple of years old with very little use. Almost perfect condition and fully original. Very slight buckle rash on back. Superb sound whether acoustic or plugged in. New set of strings recently fitted. Looking for a quick sale as something has come up. The bass is currently with me in swansea but will be in manchester on Monday 13th or Tuesday 14th. Happy to meet in South Wales or north west England depending where I am. Ideally cash only unless you have a status streamline, interesting headless or fretless possibly considered. Really prefer cash though.
15. Dang that's nice! What's the spacing like at the nut and bridge ? ( hoping it'll be way off what's comfortable for me) as I'm very tempted by this !
16. Having recently owned a stingray, USA sub and sterling sb14 I can say I'd go for a sub if you can get on with the less showy paint and slab body. I found the slimmer neck sb too small even though I thought I preferred jazz type necks. The USA sub has the sound covered and if you're sharp you can pick one up for well under £300... The sterling sub even less (£200) but I haven't tried one of those. I was surprised as I'd always fancied a stingray, being a huge Flea fan for years, once I had one it left me a bit deflated. Cant put my finger on it but i expected more from it. At least it's my stingray gas cured for life........ I hope. Good luck in your search.
17. That's a beauty Clarky. Very envious ! Would love a brown bass one day but it would be totally wasted in my clumsy hands, or a mk1 or 2. Hmmmm
18.

RAWK!!! Digging the beardage!
