2.
I'm very tempted by this
Well don't be shy I may be heading over to your neck of the woods in the next week or so. Would you like to try any? Oooh Suits you sir

4.
I thought they were still looking for a tree big enough to make it.
5. I currently have a 2011 USA 2eq MM Stingray 4, A USA MM Sub bass and a SB14 by Sterling. Come over to Manchester and try all 3 for free 😄😄 All slightly different, but very similar. The sb14 is nice, it's slightly lighter, feels more compact and has a more jazz feel neck. It's probably more flexible than the stingray as it has a selector switch and 3 band eq but still has the stingray 'sound' After, you can buy one or all three if you like 😄
6.
Mmmmm. Zoids.....
Exactly. One day.......... 😍

8. That's nice, shouldn't be here for long
9. Make me an offer, you never know 😉
10. How do these compare to a later precision tonally? Like the look but not sure if they lose out with the smaller pup?
11. As mentioned earlier, currently using a set of D'addario Xl Chrome Flats- nice feel and tone, but my first set of flats in 30 years of round wounds so nothing yet to compare to. Just bought a used fretless which has arrived with an unopened set of Fender flats so I'll be giving them a try soon.
12. I recently got hold of one. It's mint condition so either hardly ever been out of a case, unlikely as it came to me in a bin bag, no really 😄, or it's almost new. No Japan label on this one. It's not too bad as it goes. Action very high and even with a neck shim can't get it where id like it......yet! The build quality is good not bad frets, neck seems to be somewhere between a jazz and a precision although its a jazz copy. Lets see some pics of your potential one
13. Cheers Karl !
14. Interested in trades for headless bass.........

18. Also rough shipping cost to uk? Thanks
19. That's nice. Very w&t ish Do you know the weight, nut width and string spacing at bridge?
20. Ha ha nice dolphin Kev ! ( I guess you won't want the black beauties now ? ) I've used round wounds on mine for the last 20 years. That was until I discovered flat wounds a couple of months ago!! I did try tapes and they were ok but too dull. Got chrome flats on it now. Just what I've wanted to hear since I've owned it. I've always found the top end too bright so virtually never use the treble pot leaving wound right back. Now with flats I have the 'right to my' ear kind of brightness when needed not the sharpness I'd always heard before with rounds. Shame it took so long to experiment, I started playing in the 70s as a kid, stopped in the late nineties and shelved my gear, picking it up more often in the past 12 months.
21.
MB1. +1 An overpowering sense of underwhelmedment!
+2 feel like I've been mugged off.
