Dreaming of a red and gold BB2000....
-
In my experience all BB424's are like that, great basses.
-
The J pickup on my BB100S with flatwound strings sounds like a dream
-
Oh yeah, it's all natural I think. The big green patch in the back is where tape used to be, to protect it from buckle rash. Clearly didnt work Anyone notice the hole in the pickup yet?
-
Picked up a reasonably used F-bass today, the previous owner played in a lot of bands and used the bass extensively... Plays and sounds like a dream still, even with the pickup covers completely worn down The previous owner sent me a picture of what it used to look like in 2006, crazy how it was completely green all the way through.

He This is a 2019-ish group photo. Ibanez CTB-3NT - SR1000 - EDA905 - 2365B -RS824 - SR1200 - RB808. I've since sold the CTB, EDA , but i've added the SR1306 and a lovely SB900. The RB808 has a broken switch, and only produces sound in one position...

I have NEVER heard of that one, cheers man. I must admit I was only checking the USA catalogs, and it wasn't in there. Here's my SR1306PD and SR886BK (sold the latter):

Can you guys help me identify this one? It's up for sale locally. This is the only picture that's on the ad. It has the stacked pots, it's made in 2000 in Japan and it has the Accucast bridge from the time period. But i can't for the life of me find this color combo anywhere. Been looking at catalogs from the time period, but no luck so far. I THINK this is a SR3000 that's been refinished, but those basses also came with inlays. It also doesn't have the circular headstock logo that some of those basses had at the time.
-
The 3000A has a more agressive forearm cut, is a little thinner overall and the horns are a lil' different yeah. Headstock is smaller too, although that might be an optical illusion. The BB1000S beats in in comfort though, for sure. Cheers , i'll have a look into that then. The washers can stay inside the packaging for another bass!

Cheers, I took a picture with it's brother aswell today. It also doesn't have O-rings , and neither do most of the basses I find online. Maybe they just didn't have them?
-
Does anyone here know how to dissasemble the tuners on an old BB1000S? The plastic/rubber O-rings are gone, i've purchased some new ones and am dying to put them on. But it seems i need a special key to disassemble to the metal part under the tuning key, is this correct? It doesn't simply twist off. Bass in question ofcourse:

Here's my Ibanez SR1000E:

I have two of these, one with the humbucker and one with a split-coil. Really good basses with quality parts, not sure why Washburn faded from the market.

Not sure if you've got something, but I have the Godin SD4 and it's pretty great. Lightweight, fast neck and has good features like string-through body.

Nice, you bought Hardy's old SS2! I've owned 8 Warwicks myself and have a CS right now with a maxed truss rod and a neck thats nowhere near flat...

Alright, he serviced one of my basses (new nut and a general checkup) a few months back. But I guess those several people are right You can also shoot "] an email, he's a dealer and co creator.

Ellio Martina isn't out of business, he lives 5 minutes from my house, but I doubt he knows how to use a computer. Guy is old school. If you're interested I can call him and find out of he has some availible.

I use an old Ibanez BP10 that fits the bill pretty good if you keep the level up

My baby! Hasn't let me down yet, and has the battle scars to prove it.
