1. Cheers, Ted. An amazing looking swap item. 35" scale isn't going to suit me, though. For 5-ing, I am more at home with my G&L 5500.
2. Sunday Blunch
3.
Interested in trading with a warwick streamer lx5?
Cool piece, but already have - and shifitng? - a Corvette Standard 5.
4. Disarmingly comfy, as you will find.
5. Pics now up front. Only mark is a finish lift at the very, very tight neck pocket 'underside'. Only found it when taking neck off to check date stamps n such. Neck is on t-i-g-h-t, hence finsih lift. Nothing moved when Rumour6 popped it out, though. Check the photo at high res and you may be able to see it - hard to catch with camera. No breakage, no wood anything, no problem.
6. Measures 17mm at bridge as set up now.
7. Fender tweed case came with the bass to me. Dunno what they supplied in 2002. Happy to supply something else. Lots of folk do these: http://anthillmusic.com/p-1024-genuine-fender-vintage-american-reissue-bass-tuners.aspx
8. No change of holes. Based on current asking prices, £950 delivered in t'usual bits o' the UK. 9. Ha! And I'm sure it is as good as you remember yours to have been. Let me know what the penny jar yields....
10. 'Hugged with' it... ....an old fashioned euphemism for 'the act' It is something 'musicians' do to help 'break in' their 'equipment'.
11. Looks sharp. Plays ace. S'nice.
12. Friday night listing... TRB6P Early neck thru version. Great condish. Great player. No excuses piece. £1K in a near new Hiscox Liteflite Its story so far...: Got it for Rumour6 from a nice chap in New Mexico in 2006. Became many things. Came back to him. Now with me again. [Jeezo, Andy. Settle, eh?] He seems quite certain that it can go. Again. So here it is. Cheersies
13. The relationship with the cat is strictly platonic.
14. Best bathroom scales estimate is 9 1/2 lbs + or - a few oz. Def under 10. How did you know that I am kind?
15. 74 Precision Natural/Maple It feels sooooo comfy old shoes.... Was originally natural. Years of club play = nicotine browning and such, so the guy stripped back to base coat then aborted his effort at varnishing. Could either leave it or rub out the 'new' varnish and then leave, or throw a coat of nitro onto it. Tempted to to a total re-do on it - but the logo is orig. Even though it shows how brown the varnish had become at the time of stripping, I like to leave stuff orig. Refretted - some scratches on board, but it is set up low and plays tip toply. Replacement scratchplate. I didn't have screwdrivers with me when I saw it and only had a tiny combo to try it. Had cheap Japanese pots and input, and only half the pickup worked. I had my tech go through it, so it is now wired right with good bits. I had a half a Schecter P pickup - old big slug Schecter pickup, best P pickup I ever heard - so he wired that in with the orig half. Comes with orig other half so you can rewind - or not - it sounds great! Anyway, there are lots of things that that add up to "not a £1500" bass. So it isn't. Worth half, though. £750 caseless delivered or £800 in a Hiscox. Here are two shots to give you the idea. Lots more on request - just gie us yer email.
16. ... or a Hiscox, if you prefer....
