1.
Military wiring is Hiwatt's favourite boast. Does this use especially Russian components, or is it a Marshall clone, and thus use same specced components? And damn, cheap nasty Marshalls explode and die all the time, due to cheap nastyness.
What Hiwatt meant was that the wiring was done by the same women who worked in the munitions factories - no wasted copper and everything rock solid. Russian components, not interchangeable stuff. Yeah - cheap Marshall's do... ...which is why I only keep them from JTM45 - JCM800.
2. Military does not equal musical. By no means. These had a big prob with popping valve taking out transformers... ...and there are NO parts for these... ...but this one is still going, so may be OK.

5. Nothing comes close to these at £300. Damn few can compete at £500.

9. It looks an honest plate of food. Clearly, a lot of skill displayed. And the boy shows a lot of passion. But is it up to the standard we expect for a fine dining experience? We have a lot of thinking to do.... ...this really is going to be a tough decision.
10. A question may be either a linguistic expression used to make a request for information, or else the request itself made by such an expression. This information is provided with an answer. An answer, people! Not a reply... An Answer!!!! That's the mark of a good question, right? Or am I being rhetorical?

15. Shouldn't this be in the wanted section?
16. This is unfeasibly great value for a thunderous setup. Just the drivers are worth half the price. I love the boost control...
17. The two (or three)digits are the original price in yen. I have seen 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, 70, 100, 125. The main differnces are electrics and wood flawlessness (izzat a wurd?)
18. Eminence are a good all-round bet, especially if you are after a USA/bright tonality. Don't have the compressed/smooth top end of the edge-doped Brit drivers.
19. The Fender is voiced for Eminence drivers, which are usually efficient. Well, certainly more suited than the 95dB 'tight' Celestion neos which ar ebetter suited to a compact cab. The big box lieks 'em kinda loose and flappy.
20. Great cabs... ..."all of the 8 without the weight"
21.
Hello Mr Thorn, Looking for a case for a Series 6 AH500X head, would you have one ? Also any footswitchs ? I've got a AH600SMX that could use one, looks like a normal jack input. Cheers.
I have one head case. Trace Elliot branded. Currently housing a 350X, same size as my Mk5 AH500X. Dark brown - fibreglass? - with cork sheet inserts. Front and back off. You take the handle off the head (and put it all labelled up and with the brackets and screws where you will be able to find them someday - like I didn't) and slide the whole thing in. The footswitches I have are the 1/4" jack preshape/graphic. I will try one with an SMX head and let you know what it does.
22.
How much would you be after for the sound city 200?
£450 excl. output valves for an amp that's all checked out nad happy (tho' may not be 100% dead silent, unless you want to kick in for a cap job). I can have my tech bias it up for anything you want to put in. If you want new valves, best to buy them yourself, so you have a guarantee. I can do used valves - including those hideously expensive GEC KT88s - but can't guarantee them.
