Took a clean Epiphone Thunderbird as a p/x. Strap button moved (as many do) but otherwise just a couple of strap marks. £125 or swaps?

I want c.£1500 for my clean one with strong USA 6550s = £400 worth of valves. Are you staying with that weird industrial power input socket - or getting it converted for a euro lead?

Downsize? It is a wee bit smaller, but the thick ply cab weighs more than an MDF. And the 1510X cabs are the same size as a standard 1x15. Anyway - my plan is to keep the old stack together, now that I have a Mk2 AH500 to biamp with. It's just an hour away - come and see why I fancy matching your 1510X with the one I have as a biamp rig with the Mk5 AH500. If it works, I could swap for alater 410. Or you might like to keep yours an dstick an AH350X thorugh it as a biamp rig...? Many fun things to consider!

Rachel was a very well behaved young lady. Fancy coming over for a Trace and going home with a Laney R3! But ya gota admit the old 1x15s sounded fabbo!

I have a Mk2 - black painted, pre-vinyl, no UV. Some slider tips broken, but all work. The very tone for smoothing out the Eminence to give an orig/Fane Pro-ish tone. These were £1250 when they came out. £250 delivered. Only selling because I finally found a Mk3 AH500 (two AH250s biampable) for my black painted wood finish stack! And a Mk5 - very clean, black light working, great example of the last of the best Trace. Absolutely no issues. These were £950 when they came out. A little more brightness if you chose the Eminence to avoid the need for a top box (depends on the model). £375 delivered. Cheers Chris

All the heads will do the job. ah250, ah350x, ah500x are here. As Trace said in their manuals: If you want more volume, add more cabs! Let me know your budget and I will detail the options. You have yet to add any profile info - where be thee?

Answers to all the newer replies... The hexa is a beast. Better built than the V series? Probably. The Nolan head is an all-vave lead head - one of the many British 'also rans' from the '70s. It is better made than a Sola Sound, better(?) sonics than a Sound City, not as weird as an Elgin. Not trashy like a V-Ampower or Triumph (sorry, Geoff, but really, man, what were you doing?) £500 is a tough price point if you want volume...

Valve pre. Coome up and have a blast through the lot in the cave. Bring the band - you can let the drummer decide!

The guy sold his 100w in minutes for £450. My 135 went to a blues band in the Borders in December. My Bassman 70 is now with Rumour6. First time in 10 years I am Bassmanless. ...feel...so..cold... But wait! Bass through a 135 Twin! Thank god I have two of those!!

Trace Mk5 AH250 and a 15+10 cab. Or a GP12 SMX valve pre 4x10 combo and a 1x15 cab for under it. Either option will stand up to 'most any 600w 'modern' rig. Come on up and I'll prove it...
