Gamba Model German bass, early 1900's for sale. I've own the bass for 10 years and really love it. It has a great sound. I've used it mostly for jazz and pop/country gigs. Since I've owned the bass it has had a new fingerboard, bridge and soundpost fitted professionally. I've had the bass valued by Martin Penning who has given an honest appraisal of the bass at £3500. This is Martin's notes on the bass Repair history. Front- Several old cracks to front but not in the soundpost area, cracks appear to be solid and on inspection have been studded. Some bad retouching has been applied to one wing. Ribs.- some cracks to ribs particularly the lower rib, again they have been reinforced. Back- The button has been damaged and glued badly, it would benefit from a graft at some stage. The centre joint has also been apart and has been glued out of register in several places. The bass is in playing condition and it is possible to add value with further restoration. In my opinion the current value is £3500.

I have a EAP contact mic and preamp for sale. A beautiful piece of kit. My far the best I have ever tried, much more true sound compared to a piezo. Reason for sale is that I'm also selling my double bass and moving to just using my Clevinger EUB all the time. I've had it for a few months and used it on 3 or 4 gigs. Its great a low to medium volume although I did blend in a piezo for higher volumes. sounds amazing recorded too. In as new condition with case etc. Paid £360 for preamp and mike together. On my bathroom scales it weighs in at 9 lb exactly. I' ve had a lot of offers for swaps which would be great but I've bought a lovely MM 5 string Jazz from JC Riffs- so sorry no trades but thanks for the offers. Matt

Just checked the receipt- paid £2050 in Aug 2010. Have receipt for this. Also have receipt for professional fretstone and replacement of orginal nut which was cracked, and replace with new bone version.

Hi do you still have your MM jazz bass for sale?

Hi, new/unused spiro mittels. I'd like to swap them for something lighter, ideally spiro weich or something similar with cash adjustment my way. Actually after two sets so would be happy to swap two used for one new with cash adjustment your way if preferred. (I acquired them as part of a deal [size=3]with a bass I recently bought so can't vouch for their age but look totally fine. Bought the wrong size bag in a sale so could return!! I've tried using it for 6 months but is too big my small 3/4. Ideally like to swap for another reasonable quality double bass bag but 3/4 size. It is a lovely bag- great quality with loads of handles etc- very well made- just too big for me. Thanks Matt
