1. Sounds good - who is that?
And a new video too - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEIrz4WkYrM
2. Excllent - many thanks for the link. I will pass on the info.
 3. I left my pre EB Stringray with a guitar tech recently for a set up and he is struggling to find the right Allen Key to adjust the truss rod. I was advised that it should be 3mm but apparently that does not fit. Anyone know what will fit?
 4. Me neither. You just have to pay for any reserve price that you put on - simple as that. I honestly feel that the site should restrict sales to new members until they have made a set number of posts.
I've been buying/selling on ebay for donkeys years and never heard of a sellers cap? I've sold things from 1p start price to £8500 start price, never had any contact from ebay telling me there are limits? I'm not doubting the story, just never heard of it myself.
5. EOPE was a breathe of fresh air when it came out in 1993 and I still love it now. Jamiroquai were never the same after Zender and Smith left, all the funk went. Having said that I do like Paul Turner as a player and think that he has just a unique feel and sound as Stu did.
 6. What are the dimensions of the Bass Micro Synth?
 7. Sorry is mis-interpreted what you meant for a minute! The pedal is coming back from London today so I can try that and see what I can hear - bloody annoying as first time it came back it worked perfectly and then after a couple of weeks same problem again. He cannot get it not to work properly all the time that he has tested it! Could there be anything in a looper that would cause this?
I meant turn up the amp just for testing... if you don't have it loud enough you might not hear the problem
8. Not sure as I never had to use it like that - I have only had it a short time but when I first got it you just turned it on and it worked no problem at all. I seem to have had issues since I bought a looper with a blend in to replace my LS2 and can't think why. Turning the amp up to compensate is not ideal when you are stomping on and off for different parts of a tune!
 9. Evening all, My Deep Impact has been playing up, the output volume drops to about half of what it normally is with the level at half way. It has been away twice now to a repairer recommended by Daniel at The Gigrig and they are saying that there is nothing wrong with it and have checked ith through thoroughly and sorted out any dry joints etc. They think that a pedal in my set up is overloading the input stage of the Akai but the problem was still occurring when I had the pedal working in isolation so I don't agree. The other suggestion is that my basses are too hot for the pedal and this is resulting in a digital overload and the pedal reducing the output as a safety measure. Has anyone else heard or had anything similar with their Deep Impact?
 10. Did you A/B against the 3 Leaf Proton or Groove Regulator 2?
Very quiet and very cool. Funkarama, great squelch. Well worth the price tag.
11. How do you find the Wonderlove? Only just found them on the web and may buy one.
Here's mine. Each one very useful with the others. Very happy with the outcome. The 'cheap' Gator Bone powered board i the best Ive used, the other hardcase styles are just too bulky and heavy. Bass - EBS Stanley Clarke Wah - EBS Octabass - Darkglass B7K - Aguilar TLC Compressor - 3 Leaf Audio Wonderlove - Amp. Prefer to use the tuner on top of the amp, just an old habit I guess. Really does bring colour and groove enhancement. Well, thats my opinion......never had complaints from the band.
12. There seem to be some new filters on the market and wonder if anyone has tried them yet? Thinking of the new 3 Leaf Wonderlove and the Subdecay Prometheus Deluxe.
 13. Yes, they are not cheap!
Sheeeet! I just saw the price of the ACS in ear system!
14. Yeah you can plug in a lavalier mic - I have never used it but it seems like a good idea! The ACS T1 Live has built in ambient mics on the outside and I understand that they are launching a belt pack that also enables you to mix in the sound around you - so I may look at that in due course. My T1's are so good that at rehearsal we now have to mic the drum kit up as I could not hear anything of it with the mix in my ears which I guess is the point! The antenna is ok on the AT system - never had any cause for complaint on it yet. I did like the look for the Shure systems but could not find the money for one.
Hmm just checked out the M2 system, looks pretty decent, although forgot to check price haha. I noticed that as an optional accessory you can have a lavalier mic so you can hear whats going on around you, so your band mates don't need to scream at you to no avail on stage to get your attention Ever tried using it? Also, one thing I'm a little aprehensive about with all these IEM Wireless systems is that the receiver packs all share the same flimsy antennas! Used to have a Sennheiser instrument wireless and the antenna has a big kink in it where it got bent. Not sure if there are any brands without that or whether it's just something I'll have to deal with =/ Yeah figured if I'm gonna spend that much on customs I may as well go the whole 9 yards Quads ftw!
15. Yes the AT system is wireless and is the M2 system if I remember right. It is very good, great sound and easy to use which suits me . I did look at Shure PSM range and the cheap ones from Thomann and this seemed to sit nicely in the middle. Wireless is very handy though. The quad driver from 1964Ears sounds awesome!!
 16. Agreed and a great idea. It isn't just decieding which ones to go for it is then working out how you integrate them into your band setup which can be a nightmare for the amateurs among us! It was for me.
 17. Yep - it took a while!! What make have you gone for?
Interestingly, acrylic is meant to be as comfortable as silicone, but far longer wearing. I did speak with some other companies when ordering mine (still being made) and that was the concensus. Though even if a shell did wear out, they can be reshelled for a relatively small fee. Freddy, glad you've got something you're happy with
18. Anyone know anybody!!
 19. Need a funky keys player ASAP to replace our outgoing ivory tinkler. Rehearsals either in Worcester or Stroud. Anyone know of somebody for this job?
 20. Don't know why there is such a big difference between 2 and 3 drivers in IEM's but there really is. If you play bass and want lots of bottom end then you have to go the 3 driver route. I think that Alien Ears are acrylic - are they comfortable to wear? Yep ACS are amazing - one of the best companies that I have ever dealt with.
Yeah triple drivers are the way to go on Bass and Drums. I got some AE3's from Alien ears and they are simply amazing, I wrote about them on here a few weeks ago and will do write up on performance soon. Sounds like ACS are a good company as well.
21. I have two Stingrays now, I absolutely love the 5 string and love the sound and playing it. The pre EB I am not so in love with, great mojo and sounds great but the neck just feels a bit too chunky for me. I also had a Sterling a few years ago which was ok but the pick up selector switch confused me and I don't think it sounded that much like a small Stingray should! If you can afford to have one and it not be your main bass then you would be happy. I personally think that every bass player should have one in their arsenal if they can! Of course if you get one and love it and then you can use it for everything as many do. I would also advocate getting the East preamp put into it as that makes such a massive difference to the tones you can get from them! Not sure if that helps or not?
but now there's always going to be a nagging little doubt in my mind... a little demon whispering in my ear with worries and fears
22. So the T1's turned up yesterday and I have only had time to listen to them plugged into my Mac but instant reaction is that they are so much better than the T2's. Lots more bass and this fit seems so much better this time which means I am probably getting a much tighter seal too which will make a big difference. I would agree that if you want a really fat bottom end sound in your ears then you have to go for a triple driver. Hats off to ACS, amazing customer service and that is from their MD too, if you want in ear monitors then go to these guys as they will keep going until you are 100% happy, which is rare these days.
 23. My T1's arrived today and they are fantastic - the fit is definitely better and the bass nothing short of phenomenal. If T3's work for you the great but it was the opinion of the MD of ACS that bass players and drummers would need T1's all day long to get the low end that they want to hear.
I've just got ACS T3s (single driver) and there's no lack of bass that I can hear!
