I'm having a bit of an issue with my Orange OBC410, just wondering if anyone else has had similar or knows what could be causing it? There is a sound coming out of it however it's barely audible, to the point where I can only hear it with my head right up to the cab. I was thinking blown speaker as I was running a bit of a weird rig at the time (Terror Bass +Overdrives in to OBC115, Ashdown RM800+chorus, phase, etc in to OBC410), I guess I could have pushed the Ashdown a bit hard in to the cab to keep up in volume with the Terror, but am I right in thinking a blown speaker would sound distorted and it's unlikely that all 4 would blow at the same time? Also there wasn't any massive pop or bang, it just suddenly dropped out. I've tried the cab with another head, different cables, etc so I think I've ruled those out too.

I tested the speakers and leads but didn't even think of trying my bass in to the return jack. I'll give that a go later. Thanks for your help!

I picked up a new Orange Terror Bass a couple of months ago and it's been fine until today. I was using it in practice, it worked as normal for about 10 mins then popped and cut out. I left it on standby for a bit, turned it back on and it worked for a few minutes again but then did the same. Tried turning it off disconnecting everything and plugging it back in, this time it sounded thin and nowhere near as loud, then when I switched a pedal on it cut out again. The amp still powers up but now either sounds thin or pops and cuts out straight away. If it helps it's connected to an OBC410 and 115 and it's set to 4 ohm on the switch on the back. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know what it could be?

Had a bit of a brain wave this afternoon and just wanted to run it past someone to make sure it's not just a really good way to fry some bass gear. I'm using an Amp PF500 which has an input directly in to the power amp and a Fender Downtown Express. I'm looking for a way to be able to switch between the Downtown Express and the front of my amp and wondered if something like the Fender ABY pedal would work? I'm thinking my signal chain would be: Bass - Pedal Board - ABY - A in to the front of the Amp. B in to Downtown Express which goes in to the power amp of the Ampeg. Is this likely to work or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks for the replies! I'm yet to press the button with the pedal connected as don't really want to risk frying it so have gone for the safer option of a different coloured XLR lead to my condenser mics and just switching between what i need to use at the time, the few seconds it takes to switch leads is probably better than a dead pedal and burned floor... The temptation will remain though 😅

Hi, quite new to recording at home with anything more than 1 mic so please excuse me if this is a stupid question. I'm currently using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, a condenser mic and the DI output from a Fender Downtown Express. The mic and DI are both connected with XLR cables. My question is if I switch the 48v phantom power on while the Downtown Express is connected will I fry the pedal?
