  1. ooh - they look nice, wonder if they are going to have stupid spacing ok, the specs don't say!
  2. Wow, that is never going to be falling out!
  3. Not ideal but hopefully just a transient thing, as I was online at that point and didn't notice it
  4. I did squonk once with no group practice as a one off. It would have gone better if I had sung it.
  5. We get a bit more than that but there are fewer venues these days. Although I don't think we have ever done less than 2 hours, unless it was a slot at a multiband venue.
  6. If you made a coffee table out of wenge you wouldn't be able to lift it!
  7. I am sure they had it cheaper in november.
  8. and vice versa, so it worked out as a good trade! Although it has to be said I miss the weight some times
  9. If they come in at reasonable money, and by that I mean not much more than the dollar amount they should do really well. I wouldn't want to part with my bongo, but I am sure I could find space for a purple one too. Not so much worried about the EQ - the only reason I ever touch mine is because it has adjusted itself by being in a gig bag again!
  10. I assume the normal MM translation of 3 times the US price?
  11. I also have a music iPad, which doesn't get updated, it runs the plugins I need for gigging, there is no need for an update for those, they work fine.
  12. I will say that the boss ME90B has some great sounding fuzz, overdrive and distortion that sounds sort of like boss standalone versions of the above. Also the chorus takes me back to the day in 1981 when I bought a boss chorus pedal - like exactly the same. Shame I don't really use chorus much really. Envelope filters it has too, the synth stuff isn't great though, which is a shame as you think they could throw something in there that sounded at least like an SY1.
  13. Mine too! The wood on that was always something else. Well, it had a new preamp (from John Shuker - his own mk1 preamp) fitted in 2020.
  14. And I wouldn't - I had to run a Windows XP machine as a separate device for several years to access a specific bit of software. There was a lot of broken things moving, most manufacturers fixed their stuff, some were no longer there to do so. In fact all around the country are legacy computers running old systems with people hoping they don't die so that they can keep doing what they were doing.
  15. They are, and really low noise. Wouldn't change mine. Well, I might for the battery one now.
  16. Dont' see why a peavy is that bad at that gig?
  17. It does mount with two bolts through the bottom (note that mine aren't like the ones in the picture, I used the adjustable feet that came with the original board, as I got the power bar separately later, and prefered the other feet. Can't see what the bolt is offhand, other than it measures 7mm with a caliper across.
  18. Someone who makes a living making stringed instruments. Don't see it matters your training or history, if that is your full time job, that is what you are.
  19. Yep, dingwall combustion. But traded it for an Ibanez 1605 and that was lovely.
  20. Yes it is there still at the bottom of the list.
  21. I have had my X18 mixer since 2017, and before that I had an XR16 for most of a year, and i have not once used the headphone output! As you say, maybe there is some use for it, I never found it.
  22. Ours has at least 2 for when he breaks a string, which is really quite often.
  23. Indeed - I don't like unfinished headstocks, unless it is on an unfinished bass. I guess I mean non matching headstocks!
