Most of mine are, but all of them can be, different basses have different levels and how fast the echo needs to be on whole lotta love depends on how fast the drummer has decided to play it! Also, I often make a mental note to change something on a gig, but then forget almost immediately until the next time I play that song on a gig.

That says get a better teacher. When I was young I did piano lessons, which was all the old classics, and I was good but got bored. Ultimately my teacher went a bit mad, and my mum was concerned she was dangerously so, so I moved to a different teacher. The first thing that teacher asked me was 'what is it that you want to play', which is nothing that had been asked before, so I went through the keyboard parts of plenty of rock songs and it was great.

I have a processor board on my desk at this very moment to impliment midi on the ToneXOne, but wouldn't want to make a habit of it! You know, I have never bothered with that - I just go straight into the desk with a jack plug, fine if you are not a long way away
-
Useful if it has midi - doesn't see if it does on the Andertons oagem otherwise a computer editable thing over not so useful live
-
Not exactly revolutionary though, there are a lot of those '1000 effects in a cheap box' things around, it depends on the box, and ultimately what is that giving you that a zoom b1-4 isn't?

Would never happen. I have had lesson, I ended up developing a style which was my own but more consistant and more flexible. But I still sound like me. Its like driving lessons, you still go to where you want to go, you just don't crash on the way!

No, if you delete them from your attachments, they should be gone -
The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!

Could get behind one of those depending on dimensions -
I thought so - so I am thinking of changing my Dwarf pedalboards to just be effects, and use the tonex on the output as the amp sim, then straight to the PA. I have a midi controller controlling the dwarf now, as I had an issue switching pedalboards live (not often but when I did I really did!)
-
This is true, although for the price of one of those you can get two of the mini ones and have them doing different things!

I picked up a little processor board for £4 - there is a project which bridges the ToneX One usb with midi, so as I have a midi controller on my board, for my dwarf, I will also be able to bluetooth midi to the ToneX One and switch between any of the built in 20 presets live. That sounded like a good thing!

I spent quite a while on saturday trying to get mail reliable, and it has been setup, but I suspect there are some issues because the server address has changed. I know when I was testing to my gmail account nothing was getting through. Then I went to gmail online and found they were in my spam folder, since I marked those I have got all my PMs and alerts fine. There are no bounce reports in the logs, so I I am not sure other than the spam how some gmail and some hotmail accounts aren't getting in. Please check your spam folders (esp - online with the big web ones)

Deleting ad pics when bass sold

Not sure what the obvious reasons are, there are no way to edit a post once you have sold something (and they are handy there for reference), but if you feel you have to delete them, yes, you can remove them from your attachments. -
True, I often get an advert for a shop clearing out Gibson Les Pauls for £200.. but I never fell for it, I mean, what happens if I gave them £200 and I ended up with a Gibson Les Paul!!

You commented on the 'Deffo not a scam website' - which is the website I commented on which is selling everything for £42, I don't know what site you are reffering to
-
That is bbcode, followed by you putting bbcode in img tags, that is for much older forums - delete all the stuff I have highlighted in orange, the forum will notice what you have written and put it as an image
-
Really? If you believe they will really send you one of those basses for £42 I have a bridge I could sell to you

I gig with the gnome 10/8, its a great thing, but it isn't enough on its own. I also go through the PA so the speaker is just there to provide an onstage sound to those of the band that don't have in ears.

First gig for this year (ignoring new years gig going into this year) - light on bookings so far. Playing at a local village pub, not known for music. Found out we needed to move it an hour earlier as they have a noise curfew because of local houses, so 8-11, ok with that, nice to get back earlier, especially as it is 5 mins down the road anyway. We played there once before for a haloween do, in a skittle alley, bad acoustics but good gig, so parked expecting that, but they have a new food area on the side, of the bar (which itself is next to the other bar) so we were there, quite small. easy loadin and setup, not many people, thought this was going to be a paid practice, but we still approach it the same way, these people are paying us. Less volume needed so sound was manageable and pretty good, took my Ric and my old ibanez #1 which had just had new strings. considering no gigs or practices this month first half went really well. The crowd were small, non mobile but appreciative. Had a break, some people left others came in. The second half is less blues, more party so tends to go better, and sure enough, they seemed more up for it the second half. Then we hit 'does your mother know' and loads of women from.. who knows where.. came in dancing, and from there on in it was pretty dancey. towards the end when we had some rock stuff, highway to hell and our ending songs, a load of blokes came in from.. yet another bar I guess, so we ended with Whole lotta love, which always goes down a storm (even though I have no idea why people try to dance to it) - in the end there were quite a load of people dancing in what was quite a small room, so it felt really full. It was a great way to end a quiet month. There was a video someone shared for a change - it was the verse of all right now, and me looking around and checking my pedals!

That looks like one of those 80s gibsons when they were just kicking loads of ideas out
-
I never pulled the string off the bongo, but not sure why you would do that anyway, its not close enough to the edge unless you were playing with quite a lot of sideways force -I guess intentionally bending the string out, and as I played guitar before I know you bend the string up when bending on that side
-
No I would imagine someone put another pickup on it, routed out the front to get between the pickups and to the controls, then someone else got it, took it out and put that over. You certainly wouldn't buy that without saying 'hey can I have a pictue with the pickguard off?'
-
Shouldn't be, as far as I know - maybe just a temporary thing yesterday?
