100 times this - get so fed up with listening to people say 'oh well if they don't respond to your email, just phone them'. If they don't respond to my communication via a channel they have provided, then they don't want my business, simple as that. Maybe to be sure I will email them again. I will not phone, I will almost never phone.

Maybe better if we have one picture with all the names under it, one person can take all the names and put them in the list?

I wasn't refering to what is technically possible, obviously all threads can become locked if necessary. The wanted threads are different in that the whole forum is set up to not be replyable. And the downside of this is that any thread that you can't reply to can't get bumped so it was very quickly dissapear off the first few pages of the forum, so after a few days, the chances of anyone seeing it are pretty close to none - wanted is ok like that as people know what they are searching for, but for a normal thread it isn't really going to be seen unless someone does a search, and that only normally happens through google 10 years after the last post! This is of course just my opinion here, and if you want it locked then you can report your post and say what you want, then the mods can discuss it and see if it is something they wanted to do - I am not a mod so don't really have that much of a say (I am an admin, here to fix it when it breaks)

Agreed - you get 'cool' neighbourhoods where people want to live, but in doing so price out the sort of people that made it a cool neighbourhood, so these things move around.

Not generally how it is done, you can remind people you are seeking PM feedback, but once a thread is out in the wild it is kind of owned by everyone, so unless it goes the way of.. oh I don't know, every other thread at the moment with just two blokes arguing, they don't really get locked!

Indeed, and you know it is him from the first time he opens his mouth, which is great for a singer, rather than just one of those generic rock voices. Personally it wasn't something I listened too that much but for the 'angry at their dads' middle class kids with no actual real problems it was perfect stuff, and it works well in the car. Our drummer does a great Fred Durst whine, we really should get round to doing 'break stuff' - except our guitarist isn't one for distortion!

I fixed the £1 thing which was the result of moving it. Your signature is messed up, as it has 2 identical (huge) pictures, and a link to a picture that doesn't exist. There is nothing for me to fix there, signatures are down to the user (I would personally recommend removing the images, but that is your choice) Hope you get your bass back, I know what it is like to lose one - I lost a new one from hermes but miraculously, it 'turned up' later (even though they claimed it had gone for good).

No ideas, would have to know who did it to see. I have asked why it wasn't hidden FWIW I managed to find it in under a minute, so not quite sure why it was so tricky but yes, as far as I know, following the rules of a forum has always been a mandatory part of using any forum. I am not disagreeing that the rules on here a bit opaque and hard to follow sometimes, but that is down to the site owners to make that choice. Obviously you can't expect people to know all the rules, especially when they have just joined (actually, even when people have been here ages) but they are normally picked up and sorted quickly by the mods, if they are seen. But there is a lot going on and it can get missed.

I assume it has been hidden as it is a whatsitworth post by a non supporting member which is (and always was) against the rules. There is a whatsitworth forum for supporting members as the restriction against it was against hidden selling, but if they supporting memebers they can put a sale post up anyway - it was introduced after a long discussion as to whether it would upset people. If it does, it will go. edit - no it hasn't been hidden, it has been moved. I don't know why it isn't hidden, I will ask

Last time I went to the Bristol O2 to see Gary Numan, the gig was very oversold and the place was far too crowded, I am sure it was way over capacity, lleft before the end. There wasn't that sort of security then. I agree that it isn't a good venue for sound or anything else.

Umm.. come again? I meant I know 3 or 4 people who have one of those in its guitar form - I am not sure on the exact number as I am not sure if they still have them. I played one, it was good.

I know several people with guitars like that, didn't know there was a bass.
