Just for reference, careful that spelling of au fait, as what you wrote is considered an offensive term in places!

What are you listening to right now?

Will have a look through their back catalogue, thanks -
He also had his hands on my railboard - and we discussed it over email, which was nice. But then i guess at this point he had his hands on most of the ones out there.

Looks a nice cable - will have to keep an eye out for something like that, it is true I spend ages untangling the cables when I first get to a gig!
-
Why can't you connect - do you mean it just doesn't work, or for instance you can't connect because there is an alligator between you and the effect pedal? What happens when you try to connect (assuming it isn't the alligator issue). I wouldn't expect the Widi to work, they seem pretty fussy.

Trace Elliott Elf 200W micro amp - *SOLD*

No. There is something wrong with my #1 bass in that when I play it, I don't sound like much better players than me, so obviously it is the basses fault!

Royal Mail Cyber attack stopping things coming in from Overseas
Woodinblack replied to Owen's topic in General Discussion
Nothing else is affected, the same performance will be applied! The cyber attack isn't an excuse, thats real enough, obviously when they sold Royal Mail, they didn't want all the costs of overheads in staff as that seriously affects your shareholder profits, so they got rid of a lot of them all and farmed their IT department out to the lowest bidder. i would imagine (having been there) they are still on the phone to an office in India saying 'no CYBER attack.. yes the backups.. where did you put the backups..' -

Probably sitting in customs isn't it? -
That basschat.co.uk rotasound advert.
Woodinblack replied to bass_dinger's topic in General Discussion
Noone would play that in a band, she is playing along solo to a record. -
I have a roqsolid cover too. Any of those covers are good

Figures that noone actually sells that one below £60!

The cost of living raise is not a crisis for people who can afford to spend 12k on a bass as a hobby so it probably isn't going to affect it at all. Also with the UK economy crashing out, they are now much cheaper for countries who don't have that problem - they might be expensive now, but if you were buying from the states, they have held the same price.
-
But you haven't made anyone buy anything - noone needs these things, all of these things are wants. Diamonds are only expensive because they are kept artificially expensive to keep their value, they are actually pretty common.
-
It is - I have a few. I was just saying if there is something to not trust the value is printed wrong, it is a capacitor, mostly because everyone labels them their own way, unlike resistors

If you had the money and political inclination to send your kids there, you probably wouldn't care! What size is the case for the X-Touch. I was wanting to get a hard case for it, but couldn't find one the right size
-
Surface mount is easier, assuming good optics - instead of the colour they have a number on them like 103 or 472

Wireless IEMs: Xvive U4 & alternatives
Woodinblack replied to Al Krow's topic in Accessories and Misc
Oh yes, those, I forgot about those. Well, already have the cable from my other set and don't really use the plug as is (the sockets on the back of the X18 are pretty close to each other!) -

Woodinblack replied to Al Krow's topic in Accessories and Misc
What is this supplied to adapter that you speak of, who supplied it? I don't have one! I would probably preface this to say I have never used my xvive on a headphone output, mine connects to the monitor output of my x18, and I have a TRS to XLR, which makes the same output as a XR18 (difference being for size on theX18 mixer). But that is obviously a mono TRS output, T+ R- S earth, differential output. if you plug that into a headphone amp you would be sending the difference between the left and right channels which as you say, would be way down (and also cancel out anything in the centre) so yes, you only want the connection between one side, either T-S or R-S. ideally what you want in that case is a TRS connector where only one side is connected, either the T or R. The TS I'll work except some things don't like having one side shorted out -

Thomman do seem to have the monopoly on a lot of XVive stuff, or the only place supporting it, as I was looking where i could get the cases from and they are the only non US seller -

I don't see that, but now I look they do a case for it, which I might see if I can pick up some time. If you transport it in just the bag it tends to flip the power on! -

You mean the XVive U4 IEMs that we are talking about here or something else? -
