  1. Hes got through a lot of mirrors getting that right!
  2. That would be the same as me. Can lift it for about 3-4 hours but after that it gets way too heavy. two months? forget it!
  3. I like my Euro (pre-lx) 5, sounds good and all, but the RST is so light and fits in the mix so well.
  4. Indeed it is - do you want to speak to the manager?
  5. Once two threads have been merged, there is no longer any trace of what post came from what thread, so no.
  6. I only had one Plek'd instrument, a Les Paul. It wasn't noticably better than anything else I had, but as mentioned, the only way to know is a before and after on the same instrument
  7. I didn't understand that! Oh yes, she is happy to help. I mean where else is she go to stop my buying anything
  8. Yep, I took a break from mid 30s to 49. Glad I came back to it, but sometimes other things are more interesting / important.
  9. Mine has solid maple wings and is a euro, but it has the NB serial
  10. Important. ideally 16.5 is fine, I can sort of go up to nearly 18 before I start finding it uncomfortable to play, and those are the basses that basically don't get played. I had a gibson EB5 which was 19mm, sounded great (looked terrible) but in the end I just didn't play it, so no point having it. And I have to remember any time I am looking at a bass with a spacing of over 17.5, that I am never going to keep it.
  11. Also I would say that what you want from a live synth (quick access to patches and sections you want to change) and the flexability you would need in a studio / home.
  12. Impressive. I mean it sounds like one of those generic women karaoke singers in a pub, but it does at least actually sound human, so that is both impressive and a bit worrying at the same time.
  13. Certainly really impressive if you want to have japanese children singing in your song. I guess it won't be too long until you can get rid of the singer alltogether. Or have entirely computer generated supergroups.
  14. Same here, except it was the Juno 6 at the time, but I didn't quite have enough
  15. Not sure what that was - I had a 10 year old macbook that I used to use, but now I have a new one. I would probably still take the old one out if I was going to gig it at a pub. I have a modal Argon 8, which is pretty good although not very accessible for live.
  16. I find rolands are very easy to set up for live performances, although sound wise everything is going to sound good at that level. If it was just for home I would stick with the Roli and Equator 2.
  17. He said another bass worked, and the two P basses didn't.
  18. Or the other ones, the ones they now make overseas fall apart quickly and make you think 'oh it is a waste of money buying Dr Martens'
  19. I think the made in england flag is the point of that - otherwise it is a lot of money for an older style amplifier.
  20. Just need $6800 and some import duty!
  21. I don't think so, just being around a while shows you how the values of some things is very transient, the guitarist in my band is in his 30s, loves jags, I was telling him how in the 80/90S you could pick up something like an XJS for sofa change, in the same way that you couldn't really give a 70s p bass away, now they are worth something. there really is no way to predict the value of something like a collectible, like a Wal currently goes for thousands, equally good things made at the time don't, can be just down to luck
  22. They are highly desirable, although december 58s and january 60 would also sort of be considered 59s. The neck changed quite a bit a the end of 58, and the finishes changed. The ones made in jan 60 would be models started in 59. Later in 60 the necks changed again and a lot of people weren't so keen on that. But the 59s are considered the most important by collectors, and collectors don't necessarily need a logical reason to collect things.
  23. Most of the people I know who care about vintage instruments are Millenials, so there are certainly some. I think they will have value just because they are measurable and rare, obviously all the stuff from later on won't appreciate in the same way as it isn't rare.
