Nothing has changed here for a month (there is an update waiting but nothing to do with that) - I had a brief look on the net earlier, saw a few things from a while ago about cookies - maybe a chrome thing? I don't know, I don't use chrome and haven't seen it on either firefox or safari. What does it do if you click it?

Wireless IEMs: Xvive U4 & alternatives
Woodinblack replied to Al Krow's topic in Accessories and Misc
No, stuff can happen and it took a while before it went wrong. Obviously if it went wrong again I would. Yes, it does work with 2 if you want to share, but I don't really in my current group. -
Wireless IEMs: Xvive U4 & alternatives

The XVive U3 is just the XVive u4 transmitter with a different form factor receiver. I got a replacement U4 now, turns out my transmitter failed so I have one transmitter and 2 receivers! -
Nothing hard there - when you decide to do it, take a picture of the PCB that has the switch on then people on here can answer you. On the other hand, if you have someone to do it for you that always makes life easier!

Depends if you have a meter. There are 3 wires from the existing pickups, whch are ground, hot and centre tap. If you have a meter, it is easy to work out what they are - the resistance between two sets of the wires will be the same, and the other set will be double. Even easier would just be to look at the tracks on the actual switch which will also tell you. Then for any given humbucker, you put the start and end of the coils together and you have your 3 wires (and probably one for shielding.
-
No, you can just put the same plug on your new pickups, or just wire it to the pins if you want, assuming it is a humbucker with a centre tap

Its one of our christmas ones, but we haven't had a chance to drag it out this year

Looks nice here, somehow thomman felt the need to photograph it under orange light and it doesn't look so good there!

For the me the shabby thing with the fender (in fact most fenders) is they have unfinished headstocks. I am not a fan of the full size pickups on these, but the same as the vinteras (but a lot cheaper!)
-
Odd they are listed as 1 volume, 1 tone - I suppose that means the pickups are connected all the time.
-
Why doesn't the headstock match the body, looks a pretty good match here. The standard PJ pickups are the same as the fender ones too.

Nope, it wont. I suppose you could with 2 separate U4s and a headphone amp, but not exactly slick! -
That is not a problem normally in our group as the singer is just very good at handling those people and doesn't get at all annoyed about it. I couldn't handle it at all, irritates the hell out of me, but he kind of revels in it and is really good with the crowd. Never understood it myself, but quite grateful that he mostly acts as a shield. I get people trying tto hold a conversation with me while I am playing - I have IEMs in, I can't hear you anyway. One woman once I pointed to my headphones as a 'I can't hear you' - she pulled them out of my ears to tell me she didn't start some fight somewhere and it was some other woman, like I cared about that - didn't go down well. Its either that or the drunk guys whos only idea of dancing is to hold their full pints up in the air while hovering around dangerously near your pedalboard. The last gig I was at, there was a tall guy, quite drunk who was just standing in front of me and pointed at me when I was playing something he presumably liked. Highway to hell is great, like all right now, plenty of options for finally getting a bit of your drink, check the bass is in tune, video a bit of a the band or crowd etc

Not really comparible with the U4 really, but more similar to the LD/Box etc IEMs. The u4s main thing is it doesn't need wiring up, powering etc -
I don't get that on my RST, but obviously these things are personal (and mine is a 5, maybe different). It sounds actually fuller than my euro, but not so even across the board, much more manageable as a general bass. When I get round to fixing my jack socket it is one of my main gigging basses.

I really can't find anything like this anywhere - have you tried a different browser? Can anyone else see anything like this anywhere?
-
I can't see anything wrong on that page - what is it exactly you are seeing that is wrong there? Where is that 'featured videos' appearing? nothing appears for me.
-
Can you give us a link to a thread where this has happened?
-
Me and the drummer often do this, noone has joined in yet though, the rest of our band dont. It is such a great bass line to play though!
-
Its not a fender misspelling - it is the name of Mr Victor Carroll Squier, who I guess knew how to spell his own name, especially as his girls middle name is also spelt* incorrectly * deliberate british english form of spelled. But on the main point, of course fenders cost too much for what they are, but they have to support a company and people buy them, so I guess they aren't too much after all. Tune in for next weeks episode, "Are rickenbackers good value for money?"
-
If you are buying them from the official store, they aren't going to be fakes! Chinese companies do fake other chinese companies products, but aliexpress and the like are getting better at stopping it.
-
Never paid import tax on aliexpress from a genuine shop. My original ZS10s replaced my SE215s which were left as a backup, and for some reason now I need a backup seem to have gone! never had any issue, but you have to be careful. Same as eBay or amazon buyers etc

I have had a THR-10 which was good, especially the battery, but limited on effects, good solid basics though. I have a spark now and that sits next to me. For practice at any sort of volume it isn't particularly good on bass but good at lower volume and fine in on headphones it is great - also has the whole effects and software for playing along with stuff which really lift it out of being just an amp.

I remember those days, I don't think the group I am in has ever done that short. At minimum we do 2 hours, at maximum it is 3 hours with a 15 minute break. Most of the time it is two hour and ¼ sets.
