  1. THERE ARE 4 LIGHTS!!
  2. SR300s are good, solid basses. They work very well for the price. i am not a huge fan of the pickups in them but the playability is pretty much the same of any of the standard SR ranges.
  3. If only I didn't have a 'view edit history' button eh?
  4. Noone so far is in the 200s.. you sure you read the rules?
  5. Can't help feeling @fiatcoupe432 that you might have missed a page or so 292 (from spiders)
  6. I would rather not (and isn't his name Ye these days?). But I don't have a problem with people with lyrics so not an issue for me. In a previous band the singer used to mess up the words to everything, I wish he had lyrics.
  7. Yes, that is why meat loaf never got anywhere
  8. Dolly Parton did at Glastonbury. I think the general rule is that if Dolly can do it, everyone can.
  9. Where is it buzzing?
  10. The whole thing is like a bad downloaded midi file
  11. I am currently down to 3 ibanez srs, 1 premium and 2 prestiges (1605, 1000efm, 5005), all of which have monorails, and none of which have this issue. I did have another premium (2605) withh monorails that didn't have this either. So certainly not all.
  12. Did one in a local pub that reopened this year (which is a rarety round here, normally closing, not reopening). Paid way more than usual as he liked us when we did the first opening night when he started - which was an amazing night which, although I would like to think it is because we are great, is probably more becuase it was one of the first gigs after lockdown. Anyway, started at 8:30 as they have built a block of houses next to the pub in lockdown so they now get noise complaints and we have to finish by 11 - had a hard 'no one more song' at 11. Crowd were great, dancing from the 3rd song, very interactive, everyone seemed happy, came up afterwards asking where we were next, got some new people we haven't seen before, as well as regulars. Even the drummers mum said it was good and she normally doesn't (even though she comes to every gig).
  13. I noticed that last time I was in Bristol, it has been moved by temple meads, which is not an area I generally go to, so probably won't really nip in again.
  14. Exactly the same with me - i had the oportunity to go and see them on my birthday in London a few years back, and I decided not to as they were pretty well unlistenable then, speaking as someone who got into rush at 14 and they were my number 1 group for most of my life.
  15. No, you normally get it about the same time (I did) - looks like it slipped through, that is good! It often seems to be down to luck
  16. They didn't, and more specifically, I feel they really pushed them, whatever the question was their answer was varifocals.
  17. I don't think it has changed over the years, just some basses have stupidly wide nuts and some don't, but the nut spacing on my old ibanez is the same as the ones on the newer ones, ditto the spector.
  18. I had that, went to the optician as a non glasses wearer, they pushed the varifocals on me. Picked them up, went outside wearing them, the world looked horrible, I felt sick, walked into a bollard (luckily only slightly), never wore them again!
  19. How long has it been sat since it was last working?
  20. I guess he is going for the solo there?
  21. You think??
  22. With the X18s / M18s etc, you can use the great surfaces too, which don't take up much room, being exactly the same footprint as a Ashdown ABM600. which I happen to have here! Which side on looks like this (ignore the rest, not my wiring!
  23. So they have sorted the VAT thing out now or you got lucky? When I ordered one that is how much it cost, but with it I got an invoice for the import duty and vat from UPS.
  24. Mine bolts to the normal stand just using some clamp I got of ebay - runs an app that has the set list, the lyrics, starting keys etc. Most of them I don't need (I mean I don't sing most of them - but just in case)
  25. Well, same here, I play covers and pop stuff in pubs, no point in having a DB, but I big fat bought one anyway, and a lot of fun it is. I went for the 5, and I am glad I did - I guess it is because of the length of the strings on the NS EUBs and the thuddyness of it but the 5th string is very much the same as the 4th string, but lower, IYSWIM - there is no difference between the 5th.. fret on the 5th string and the open of the 4th. Hopefuly one day I can drag it out to something - find a group that wants to play love cats or something! I got the original strings, and some others that were on it. Haven't tried anythinng different, as you say there is not much chance of doing so at those prices, especially on a 5 string, as the 5th string on its own costs the same as a set of bass strings.
