Me too - I am not really bothered about seeing someone in a stadium unless it is a show. I mean, like pink floyd back when they had the big screen and flying pigs and lights shows, that was fine, because lets face it, who wanted to actually 'see' the people themselves, but in general, can't be bothered with that.

Idiots Guide To Irig or similar into ipad please......
Woodinblack replied to roblpm's topic in Accessories and Misc
I used to use the Line 6 sonic port. It stopped working for a while after an update, then started working again. Works pretty well, I use either Jamup or anytune. If I was travelling light I would probably stick to that unless I could get one of the boss waza air things. Currently though at home I just use the Spark Amp, which has a lot more with the jam features and effects etc. -
Shaller tuners - is this normal?
Woodinblack replied to Woodinblack's topic in Repairs and Technical
I do have some of the Gotohs, the ones that came with the Ibanez 1605, which I replaced with hipshots to reduce weight (as that has a very light body). But they are probably a bit gold for that bass. I like the look of the ultralights but they have a big section above the tuner which might not fit. -
Agreed - I wondered when that became a thing, it used to work well!

Shaller tuners - is this normal?

Indeed not, but if there is a product with a known fault maybe it is worth updating their design? -
Yes, that is exactly when I get it. It is because your cookie has timed out, so it doesn't believe who you are. Actually visiting it refreshes it so it works the second time.
-
I get that if I click a link to go to basschatfrom my pc upstairs. I mean, it is what it says, the page you requested doesn't exist with the credentials you provided. So for instance if it was a page that isn't publicly viewable it relies on your cookie ID. If that cookie has timed out, then it is right, that page does not currently exist for you.

Shaller tuners - is this normal?

I contacted Schaller, I await their reply, although TBH, I don't really trust them much now, so I think I might have to replace them with a quality brand, like you say, wilkinson or something! -
So now Happy Jack has a Mike Lull 5-string neck...

On the fluence, do you have the same issues that they bang on about on Talkbass when it is related to the Spector Dimension (that has fluence pickups and sounds great), notably that the magnetic field is way within the bounds of the pickup body? It did sort of put me off when I was looking into getting a dimension. I am guessing not the same level of issue as it is not a fanned fret bass so it doesn't have to be as wide. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/spector-ns-dimension.1498200/page-9 Here it is for reference, I didn't notice a problem when I tried it. EDIT: I realise now I read it back this is only of relevance on a 6 string or a fanned fret, sorry! The fishman is one of the nicer pickups I have used (if not used for long). -
Shaller tuners - is this normal?
Woodinblack replied to Woodinblack's topic in Repairs and Technical
Yep, that is exactly where mine went, and is exactly that type of tuner. I thought there must be something there, two lose one tuner would be unfortunate, to lose two is obviously a design fault! I guess its time for some gohtos or some hipshots (although the hipshots have quite a bit of gear the other side of the tuning post. -
Thats the one - I enjoy that version, can't imagine playing the original.
-
Wow - good market if you can get it. I think I will stick for doing it free on my own computer with as many songs and whatever quality I want!

Shaller tuners - is this normal?

The screw wasn't loose, it was the same as all the others. The issue can only be solved now by replacing the head unfortunately as they are broken (or the finger bit but they don't do that separately. -
I didn't see any description, but yes, that much is obvious. Who provides that as a service then when you can do it for free?

Our We do Twist and Shout & Surfin' USA, which we save for the end as they go down a storm. Noone in the band was born when those tracks were written.

Mine was a nick in the tolex too. Its pretty good for the price reduction. They also had a Head of Doom reduced to half price for a while. just when I was thinking maybe I should get that, it sold!

So my shuker has Shaller tuners on it - I think the lightweight ones, they certainly have plastic.., whatever the end bits that you turn are called. May 2021, I was tightening a string and the A tuner handle just broke, fell apart completely. Very irritating. Contacted Jon Shuker to mention it and he sent me a new one, which was nice. Put new strings on it yesterday, doing up the strings and the D string tuner also fell apart! wtf? People always go on about getting cheap basses and saying that you have to change the tuners. I have changed tuners in the past but I have never had to change tuners on a cheap bass, the sum total of playing the guitar since 1979 is 2 tuners, both these shalllers. Regardless of the outcome of this, I think I might just get some new tuners anyway! Anyone else had problems with this? Heres the original: And heres yesterdays

TC Electronic - Brittle broken knobs / buttons RH450 / 750
Woodinblack replied to Adee's topic in Amps and Cabs
Note there are two types of knobs, the volume knob and all the others. They have a different mounting -
Just checked, mine was £379 in November 2020, so maybe they always have one. However, I am pretty sure that i looked a few months ago at their B-Stock and it wasn't there then. Maybe they just put it in the shop for a while and if it doesn't sell they then put it on the web?

Sounds very much the bass has been retroactively isolated rather than it being an individual track. There is some AI software that can separate the indivudual tracks of a recording but obviously it can't do it perfectly as all the audio isn't there. It tend to have the warbling phasing sound that you hear.

Not even slightly Ska'd enough for the version that we do!

I have a squier CV Mustang bass sitting behind me now. Surf green, rather than seafoam green. It has flats on, it is pretty good. Quality is fine, the only problem with mine was that the pickguard opening for the pickup was so tight around the pickup that the whole thing was pretty microphonic so I took it off and filed round the gap a bit. Now it is great. Very nice bass for the price (although mine was S/H, so the price was quite a bit less). -
You did - I was really chuffed when I got it at that price too. It seems occasionally PMT do some mad prices, which is odd considering they are normally not the cheapest. And I hadn't seen that price since I got mine, And mine has been gigged heavily since then and never let me down (although I think the mute light has recently stopped working)

I see now that the dimension 5 is also in Inferno Red. If they had that colour to start with I would have probably already got one! seems USA only at the moment though
