  1. Shouldn't be that surprised, it is about what I bought my B Stock evo 600 from them last year.
  2. Yep, one of mine broke / fell off, I just ordered a load more as they were pretty cheap, before I found out they would send the replacements free! Unfortunately they were in a box of things that my pigeons knocked over the other day while fighting and I haven't had a chance to dig them out yet. I know, first world problems!!
  3. Finally got round to putting some video up. Need to do more but it takes so long! I mentioned this somewhere else, there is omnipresent clicking in the sax, and for some reason, there is clicking on the TMB35 as well, not sure why, could be pickup impact as this is one of the few pick songs.
  4. Not if it is a 1005ms, as it appears to be, the 1005sms is the short scale and it comes in a darker green than this.
  5. There is an element of that that would be nice, but it depends if you can trust anyone else to do it! When we did the cab shootout, we used just a normal track and my BC112 cab provided the clearest / fullest range. In fact, apart from the markbass, they all did pretty well with just general music. In other news, I bought a RCF Evox 8 the other day on ebay. Having decided I wasn't going down that route it turned up on ebay 15 miles from here pretty cheap, I made a low offer and it was accepted. It was actually listed as a J8, but it clearly wasn't, it is made of wood. Sounds ok in the garden, just need a practice to test it out on
  6. Well, it actually makes sense that they remove them as although you could call it censorship, they are not actually reviews of the venue, they are people complaining about this post.
  7. Could always have contacted mods / admin, we could have connected you to your old account if you could have shown some proof it was you!
  8. Are they? They seem pretty damning when i look at them. Their current rating is 2 stars, are you looking at the right Great Barn, there are a lot of them!
  9. There is a beautiful hall near us, an old hamstone barn, huge, with flagstone floors. if you whisper at one side of the room you can hear it at the other end. Also, if you drop a drumstick on the floor, it sets off the noise level meter! And when you do play, even ignoring the noise meter (which they seem to do), its pretty much like you expect to get if you turn the reverb up on everything Indeed - they are either very bad at communicating, or very stupid, or very greedy, or some combination of all of the above.
  10. Would have been funnier without the spelling mistake
  11. They aren't imposing this at all - they just phrased it badly. They are charging a 10% commission fee if they recommend the supplier. ie, if the couple hire the hall and say 'who is a good photographer', they will recommend someone for 10% - but even then: a) who asks a hall for a recommendation of a photographer / caterer / band b) once they have recommended someone, what would be to stop the couple then going directly to that photographer.
  12. There are still the reviews on google which aren't very flattering, and I guess they can't take down. There is a post on their page saying that they had explained it badly (although I can't see what they were trying to say), and it wasn't their intention to charge everyone, either way it is a pretty good way to commit business suicide in a pretty crowded marketplace! Ah - I see, they wanted to charge suppliers that they recommend 10%. Well, I think they have lost any financial advantage of doing that now.
  13. I saw that on facebook - it is amazing how you don't notice on something like that until you listen how much is actually there!
  14. I keep a spare 7ths string in case I need to pull out anything fancy
  15. Wow - you get your own green buckets, how posh!
  16. Should now be back, please return to your normally scheduled browsing!
  17. Sorry about search and activity going down this afternoon. Hopefully you are now returned to your regularly scheduled searching and activity looking!
  18. Well, that is suboptimal then, I will see what I can do.
  19. Well, fancy that, go out for a nice afternoon with the family and the place collapses! I will see what I can do.
  20. Yes it is - I have emailed you to explained why if you didn't understand the post you were sent.
  21. I checked and mine (which is unique to those two sites) is certainly not there
  22. In that case I would just get a two channel the box amp from Thomman. Well, I wouldn't, I would still get active monitors because it is another thing to carry around, but if they are fixed on passive monitors, that is what I would do!
  23. So what does the actual PA run? When I joined my current band we had two passive PA speakers and 2 passive monitors, and a 100w active wedge monitor, all powered by 4 channel PA from thomman. Now we have an active PA, so no passive monitors and the wedge blew up ages ago. Me and the drummer use IEMs, the singer seems perfectly happy as he is out the front, the guitarist complains but doesn't seem to do anything about it, so we seem pretty sorted. If your PA is active, wouldn't it just make sense to get 2 active monitors, and if your PA is passive speakers, can't you just have a 4 channel amp instead and run some passive monitors? I am not sure I see why you would pick passive monitors and buy an amp rather than active ones unless you already had passive PA speakers
  24. I would certainly notice hiss. But I play in a 4 piece rock / covers band, by the time the fan got loud enough to be noticable it would probably be broken. I would presumably hear it loudly at home but I don't use the amp at home at all.
  25. I hadn't actually noticed there were fans, but I only use mine in practice or playing loud, so I guess I wouldn't have had the opportunity to notice them.
