  1. Not a great conversion (why don't they put them in in kg and let the website convert them?) but I can confirm that is about the weight of the RSTs - had mine wieghed at the bass bash on Saturday, i think it was the lightest bass on the list
  2. Seem to be gone now, so no issue.
  3. Yes, mine has been faultless.
  4. I fixed the £1 thing which was the result of moving it. Your signature is messed up, as it has 2 identical (huge) pictures, and a link to a picture that doesn't exist. There is nothing for me to fix there, signatures are down to the user (I would personally recommend removing the images, but that is your choice) Hope you get your bass back, I know what it is like to lose one - I lost a new one from hermes but miraculously, it 'turned up' later (even though they claimed it had gone for good).
  5. I understand that, the disturbed one makes me cry!
  6. Thas a shame, I had a BAM200 on my table
  7. Glad you mentioned that - I was wondering which of the 6 basses was stolen - didn't see the gap with the sig. And I guess I should fix that £1 thing too.
  8. Setup time Plenty on the raffle table! First announcements Lunch time Still lunch
  9. Frankly I think the 'smells like teen spirit video' is less of a travesty than this, at least that has a comedy value!
  10. I find it an interesting bass - not sure if I am totally in love with it, but maybe with a few changes I would. edit - then I saw the price!
  11. No ideas, would have to know who did it to see. I have asked why it wasn't hidden FWIW I managed to find it in under a minute, so not quite sure why it was so tricky but yes, as far as I know, following the rules of a forum has always been a mandatory part of using any forum. I am not disagreeing that the rules on here a bit opaque and hard to follow sometimes, but that is down to the site owners to make that choice. Obviously you can't expect people to know all the rules, especially when they have just joined (actually, even when people have been here ages) but they are normally picked up and sorted quickly by the mods, if they are seen. But there is a lot going on and it can get missed.
  12. I assume it has been hidden as it is a whatsitworth post by a non supporting member which is (and always was) against the rules. There is a whatsitworth forum for supporting members as the restriction against it was against hidden selling, but if they supporting memebers they can put a sale post up anyway - it was introduced after a long discussion as to whether it would upset people. If it does, it will go. edit - no it hasn't been hidden, it has been moved. I don't know why it isn't hidden, I will ask
  13. Makes sense, I have a picture of Paul with it!
  14. There were 2 at albrighton, blue and red, I know Vinnie had one, not sure who the other belonged to.
  15. Last time I went to the Bristol O2 to see Gary Numan, the gig was very oversold and the place was far too crowded, I am sure it was way over capacity, lleft before the end. There wasn't that sort of security then. I agree that it isn't a good venue for sound or anything else.
  16. Umm.. come again? I meant I know 3 or 4 people who have one of those in its guitar form - I am not sure on the exact number as I am not sure if they still have them. I played one, it was good.
  17. I know several people with guitars like that, didn't know there was a bass.
  18. I wasn't specifically talking about housing, although there are issues there, more education / social structures, although with housing, although it was tough with interest rates, you could actually get a mortgage, even going without carpets and curtains. I got a mortage as a junior engineer on my own salary (on a small house). that same house now, on an equivalent salary I would have no chance to get - in fact probably on my actual salary. I am not blaming the people who have the houses, I am blaming years of underinvestment in not building houses, and people not really voting for that as a priority. All people ever really want to do is pay less tax and moan that there are no services any more, but that is human nature.
  19. I think you misread that, are you sure it didn't say that THEY were too dense to verify what was in the box?
  20. I have a Squier mustang that I should probably move on as I am not playing it, so I will bring it in case anyone wants to try or buy it!
  21. Luckily I only have to drive a shorter distance so I don't have to play with your conkers!
  22. Not blaming the students, blaming the governments, although the governments of the day and the people who vote them in are often the people who benifitted from those things.
  23. Oh sorry, I hadn't even thought of that! I will go and look now, I must admit I forget to check that - easy way to get hard errors like that done is message me so I know.
  24. Traditionally it is like the old apple phone events where oyu just bring a tent and a chair and camp out overnight to be one of the first in and get high fived by the staff. Failing that, you can just turn up at any time between 10:00 and 16:00 and walk in
  25. They didn't raise their prices in line, they were a government created institude made after the war to answer the problem that most people unless they were well off didn't have a chance to get to university (not just the fees, the need to work), and as such they were subsidised. That subsidy was removed in 2010, so the masters I was doing had to be abandoned, as they had to charge what they charge now. So my degree cost me 6k. Now it would cost over £20k. I would have never been able to do that, I felt guilty enough taking that much money from our income at the time. Still, handy pensioners still have access, its a shame the 'people like me' never will. Seems like modern life is very much about doing something, pulling the drawbridge up so the next generation don't get that oportunity and wondering why kids are moody and don't want to do anything.
