  1. Hi - anyone out there heard from Sam at all? She was pretty prolific posting on here until november, and then nothing, so I was hoping she wandered off and decided to do something else. But I couldn't see a trace of that, so I thought I would check if anyone had any contact?
  2. Well, decided to rewire my pedalboard over christmas for the gigs that were coming up, but I lost the nice cable that connected my 12 step to the dwarf (a 0.5m right angle USB B to Side connecting USB-A) so the cable was in the way of my loopman, so the loopman was at the top of the pedalboard to connect to the output of my dwarf and for the out to go out. It was a pain and I missed pressing it a few times! So i thought, well the loopman only needs an output, so I can put the output into input 2 of the dwarf, was a much better layout. Obviously I need to then change the pedalboard in the mod to output the input of 2. Fire it up, and noticed that output 2 was already used, as was midi on the patch I used - odd, it was connected to a device, didn't see what that was. Turned out it was a sample playback that made the sound the loopman made, tested it, sure enough it worked. Turns out, I fixed this at the beginning of the year, but when I sent the mod to BD and went to the ME90B, I had to get the loopman back, as it doesn't have that. The fix took so long I forgot that I had fixed the problem and carried on looking for a solution to a problem I fixed last year!
  3. Phenolic fingerboards were used by Vigier on some instruments, not sure about yours.
  4. We are named after a local road, it doesn't really tell you much
  5. Hopefully some Jan Hammer songs!
  6. I would say it is probably better to have that in the name if that is what you do, there are a lot of blokes who would go to something that had blues in the title. Also it would indicate to people who didn't want to go to a blues night that it is worth keeping away - I certainly would not really call into a pub that had a band with the name blues in the title. However, these are just people who don't know who you are, once people have seen you, the name doesn't really matter, as they know who you are. Also for landlords and bookings you can send videos etc to the pubs so they can see who you are and what you do.
  7. No reason at all - I have run a sub off an aux because I wanted to ensure it was just used by the drums anyway
  8. The Bose S1 works ok, even better with the (battery) boss ME90B
  9. that's odd isn't it. The behringer one has two sets of outputs (ie 4), 2 inputs, 2 thrus, and two high pass with a 100Hz cut - not sure why it is fixed at that, as the low pass has a variable but I guess there are reasons
  10. if you can get them into a conversation about the proper use of a box junction you can just sneak out while they are arguing.
  11. Was going to post it worked for me before the RCFs, then remembered my 12" sub is a behringer with alto tops. Still worked fine though
  12. I think just drummers and bass players care
  13. Not that I also want to get into this, I am sure someone with your afore mentioned skills can work out the ULEZ has nothing to do with global emissions and everything to do with the environment of people living in the area covered.
  14. Get it right, as long as basschat doesn't enter a box junction that it can't exit due to stationary vehicles then yes, it will be fine!
  15. For me, as an actual pedal (I agree the Boss Katana Go was good, but not really a pedal!), it is probably the Boss ME90B. Really flexible, great sounds, very simple to use battery life for ages, great to gig with. I have gone back gigging with my Mod Dwarf, because I need keys which it also provides, but I do miss the flexibility of the Boss, and maybe when I sort the keys out, I might go back to it, it certainly does all the practices.
  16. Pretty easily I think, I mean I sing backing and a few leads as well, but there are lots of singing bass players.
  17. It said 'bass players trying to join cover bands, get a life!!'
  18. Love the look of that - if I played 4 strings, I would get one of those in a heartbeat - love those pickups
  19. I'll come back to this, because it occurs to me that this is one of the daftest things I have heard on basschat for a while. if it was a 'thought crime', why did he need to be there? Why wasn't he arrested in his house for thinking about doing this? that would be a thought crime. no, he was arrested when he was doing something, that is not a thought crime, it is a crime of an action, like, pretty well all other crimes. If he had a problem with abortion like he assumably did, he could protest anywhere, which is perfectly legal, but he didn't, he went to the one place where it thankfully has been prevented, amongst a group of people having really bad times with their actual life where he felt his views were so important that he needed to go and try and make their days worse and stick his opinions down their throats.
  20. No, this is an agenda that you appear to be pushing, but it doesn't make it true. I am sure you were equally outraged by just stop oils arrests (oh, you seemed to trim that one) So if he came round your house, stood in your living room silently and refused to move, you would just accept that as he is 'just standing silently'. No. I thought not. You can pray anywhere, god apparently doesn't have a range problem. Yes, he wanted publicity at other peoples expense.
  21. The law is that he was restricted from being there because people go there to harass people who have to go there. He was asked to move, he didn't. He was told to move, he didn't. He refused to move against a police order to move from a restricted place and he didn't. He got arrested and fined. I don't see anything unreasonable in that. If he wanted to do 'silent prayer' he could do that anywhere, he didn't, he wanted to harass people, luckily people have protection from that now.
  22. Indeed, after having an order knowingly breaching a safe space order and then refusing to move on after being requested to do so. So we let people break the law because we agree with it or because it furthers our agenda? In the same vain that some just stop oil people were jailed for silently protesting.
  23. Seems very specific to only bass players?
  24. Nowhere near as complicated as using excel (and a lot cheaper obviously), go to your internet router, select VPN, select on, put a username and password in and press apply. Hey presto, a 'Real' vpn!
