  1. They already have their discounts in ali express, but I kind of got overloaded with the number of products - which are the better ones, which are the junk? They seem to go from a fiver to £70, at what point are they worth it.
  2. At our recent bass bash the RST was pretty well the lightest thing there, it is really remarkably light (especialy if you then go to the euro, which is most certainly not lightweight!) I would go for a quality make such as Switchraft (and it is an output socket, often known as a switchraft stereo barrel jack socket)
  3. I have a stand and an endpin - can't imagine I would use the endpin much though as if I was playing it it would have to be as well as the bass
  4. Technically 2, Come Together, which we don't play often as it is quite dull (handy for filler some places), and Twist and Shout, which isn't technically a beatles song, but sort of is.
  5. In my experience, comments from group 2 are more interested in the gear you play and reasonably positive.
  6. Yeh, i guess.. well I had some ZXs and they were great, but I am sure they were just ZX10s - I just want a set that work as well as those.
  7. Ooh - handy - I seem to have lost my KZs and the replacements I have are not good. Why are there so many models? Which KZ models are better for IEMs than the others?
  8. I enjoy mine and am ok with the sound, but I haven't got (or want) an actual DB so nothing to compare it to. As happy jack says though, in many cases it is mostly down to the image, on stage most bass like things can make most bass like noises. I haven't used mine live yet, will give it a try at some point!
  9. Mine the other day wouldn't play bluetooth audio at any level - I hope that is a temporary thing. I could just about hear the audio at full volume.
  10. The beatles have never been that much to me. I listened to them more as a kid (and had those two albums from the picture earlier) but they weren't that significant. Something was the first guitar solo I learned though. Now with time they mean even less, not something I would ever intentionally listen to, but also not anything I would rush to turn off - like sonic wallpaper I guess, just there. The stones mean even less, never really listened to any of that, and the who, I doubt I even know most of their songs, I guess that is just mummy and daddy music.
  11. Posts in off topic don't add to your post count.
  12. Doesn't seem anything for me to update there, I don't have a pedal for it.
  13. I am sure there is a good reason, but why do you have a camera aimed at your arse at gigs?
  14. Sockets. I took my Green spector Euro out on saturday, remembered how much I liked playing it (after a bit of a 'mid on full cut' issue), apart from the weight. The RST solves the weight issue by being one of the lightest basses ever but, I don't trust it fully as it cuts out occasionally from the jack socket. I looked in the electronics cavity at the weekend, it is so cheap in there compared to the Euro - these basses retail at 2.5k, and the electronics aren't as good as the basic ibanezes!
  15. Forgot to mention, on my gig on saturday, setup, all ok, start playing, bass (Spector Euro) sounds completely gutless, like the whole middle is missing, check the amp, all is ok. Carry on a for a few songs. Then I thought I would maybe boost the middle after a gap in song 3-4, found out that when checking it out (the battery was a bit dead on friday, which is why I didn't take it to that gig), I had checked out the swept mids and left it as complete cut in the middle. oops. Turned that flat and.. ok, now need to turn the bass down! Rememebered, that although the spector is heavier than I liked, it is a great bass to play. Need to sort the socket out on the RST so it doesn't cut out, and then that will probably be coming out more too.
  16. I have basses with magnets only and there really is no danger of them falling out accidently. Also I believe all alpher basses have magnets only and I haven't heard people complaining about that.
  17. Standardise knob order on basses. I understand there are different features, but where those features are the same, put them in the same place. The two basses nearest to me here are Volume, balance, stacked Mid/Freq, stacked Bass/Treble and Volume, balance, stacked bass/Treble, stacked Mid/Freq. Even with manufacturers, my two spectors are volume / volume / bass / treble and Voume / balance / Stacked mid/freq / stacked bass/treble. And the volume of that last one is clearly in the wrong place. At least ibanez are internally consistent. Pickup manufacturers, why do you all use the same colours but for different parts? Either use the same colour for the same thing or different colours for different things.
  18. Was he? I can't see anything where he is talking about them - do you have a link? And why does that makes what he says wrong?
  19. Battery life (although non replaceable) has also never been an issue - we do 2.5-3 hour gigs and never run out of power or anything. I am annoyed it died (and will take it apart tonight) but it wouldn't put me off getting another one. maybe rather than putting it in its bag and throwing that bag in another bag with everything else I would get a padded box!
  20. Oh no, they have lasted a year and a half and not been treated particularly well. There was no issues I had had with them aside from the inteferences at 2.4GHz which was solved (and worked out better that way) and the fact the reciever has a habit of switching itself on in the bag!
  21. I just checked and bought it in May 2021, so out of warranty now. Which is a shame, I really liked the form factor of those. Shame they didn't break earlier. I mean I have dropped them a lot, kind of goes with the territory for devices of this size, but when they went I was just playing normally. The XVives are also 2..4GHz but not the limitation. In fact the XVives being 2.4g is what made me go to 5GHz for the Behringer mixer, they interfered badly
