  1. This person appreciates the MASSIVE cost difference that stereo IEMs provide!
  2. Mine is a bit wider (and flatter) than that, but works fine for a normal (3hr) set in a pub.
  3. Great price for this, GLWS
  4. you need another 5 rooms!
  5. Mine is older - right on the brexit vote (second half cost £100 more than the first half!), and I ordered directly with him, ie, this was even before the configurator. I wrote and said I want this, like this, in this colour, with a neck that has these dimensions, and he replied do you want these / these and those on it, and we ended up at a spec, and that is what I got. You can still do it like that, the long winded way, or you can do the bass direct. Whether you want to go with bass direct depends on a couple of things. if something that is what you want is there, its a no brainer, although I am not a great fan of bass direct, they are a hell of a lot easier to deal with than Mr Maruszcyk himself if there is an issue, which there normally isn't. But if there was it can be a bit of a pain. However, if they don't do what you want (and I would have never got mine off the shelf), then you don't have a choice!
  6. He does put on a visual performance though - more people see him than ever saw Liszt, his channel is basically visual.
  7. On the EHB1505 (which is what i have), the strings can go to the outside of their range which is 1mm either way, giving 2mm overall and 18.5mm on all strings while staying in range of the neck and the pickups.
  8. He was at one point, at the moment he is touring as a solo musician to promote his album
  9. Remember that the Ibanez has adjustable string spacing by 1/2mm either way, so you can get it to 18.5mm - I have mine on 17.5mm (actually slightly wider on the big strings and narrower on the small ones)
  10. Indeed they don't - I had to wear earplugs at a gig this weekend and I hated it, not something I would want to make a habit of.
  11. Not sure I knew there are experts on string spacing, but what do they say the string spacing is please?
  12. Yeh but can he play mustang sal.. oh never mind
  13. It's one of my favourites (although it needs resetting up at the moment), and I am not really bothered about the stranglers either way, although I have seen them a couple of times.
  14. Odd with the mustang - they seem to vary a lot with models, they were traditionally 17.5mm, so the Classic Vibe mustang I have is the same as that, and the MiM 'vintage' is 18.5mm (ish) Obviously your Maruszczyk is whatever you specified, mine is 16.5mm!
  15. The J8 is the current version, the 8 is the old version, they were superseded some time back, and at the same time the prices went down. This made people think the old one was better, it is in some ways, not in others. I mentioned that a few posts up!
  16. Like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401977270299 in which case they say they have a channel button. I thinnk you would have to set up each time you wanted to connect to a different transmitter though
  17. I have some of the 5.8GHz systems but mine have a channel select (1-4). The ones without the channel have a pair button that you have to press on both at the same time to pair.
  18. No problem, I just asked what you meant, it didn't seem that controversial. ok, that was what I was asking. I do suspect less than 19 is more common on Short Scales (which is this threads subject), but that wasn't specified anyway, and I would say that for long scale basses I would agree that most 4 string basses you would meet in the wild would be 19.
  19. And I was trying to point out that was not possible for me to do. If you have done it, fine, I will accept it, and I do accept that as most basses are fender copies, it probably is true. I was mentioning it isn't possible for me to know. They don't make a high percentage of the market, which is what I was asking if it was models or sales, which you didn't answer. ok, I didn' tknow they had done that I literally know nothing about danelectros (and am fairly happy with that!)
  20. ok, so it means nothing then. I thought you might specify. So the bass came after the pickup? I realise my bass collection isn't statisticaly significant, but what I means is this seems 'perceieved wisdom' and as I have or can see no facts to back it up (and you won't say what most common is), I can't check. I assume 'most common' as most basses are copies of a P or a J bass, and that is what they have, so Fender Full scale basses, Musicman basses, G&L basses and 'full scale basses that mr fender made'. so clones and near clones such as yamahas and the like Ricks are about 17.5 Gibsons are about 17..5 (but vary) Ibanezes are about 16.5 Hofners are something crazy small (less than 16?) Fender short scales broncos and jags are 17.5-18 depending on issues (some at 19) So yes, you are probably right as most basses on the market are basically fender clones or derivitives they are going to be 19 the same as the P. But I don't have any data to back that up so I can't really check.
  21. What does most common mean? Most common in that fender P and Jazz have that and they are the most common basses? I wondered as I have no basses with that spacing.
  22. A jack output plate, or a jack-plate. imaginatively enough This any good? From here https://www.guitarpartsresource.com/jackplates_aftfender.htm
  23. Our singer was raving about how it is the first time in ages he has managed to hear himself, even to the point where he was holding back a bit!
  24. Our first gig post lockdown I twisted my back because the road was 3.5 foot lower than the pavement and I leaned over too much!
  25. Thats just the broken ones???!! 😮
