  1. On the fluence, do you have the same issues that they bang on about on Talkbass when it is related to the Spector Dimension (that has fluence pickups and sounds great), notably that the magnetic field is way within the bounds of the pickup body? It did sort of put me off when I was looking into getting a dimension. I am guessing not the same level of issue as it is not a fanned fret bass so it doesn't have to be as wide. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/spector-ns-dimension.1498200/page-9 Here it is for reference, I didn't notice a problem when I tried it. EDIT: I realise now I read it back this is only of relevance on a 6 string or a fanned fret, sorry! The fishman is one of the nicer pickups I have used (if not used for long).
  2. Yep, that is exactly where mine went, and is exactly that type of tuner. I thought there must be something there, two lose one tuner would be unfortunate, to lose two is obviously a design fault! I guess its time for some gohtos or some hipshots (although the hipshots have quite a bit of gear the other side of the tuning post.
  3. Thats the one - I enjoy that version, can't imagine playing the original.
  4. Yes, most cabs have two speakons. If you connect one to the amp and one to the other speaker you have daisy chained them and they would then be a 4r load
  5. Wow - good market if you can get it. I think I will stick for doing it free on my own computer with as many songs and whatever quality I want!
  6. The screw wasn't loose, it was the same as all the others. The issue can only be solved now by replacing the head unfortunately as they are broken (or the finger bit but they don't do that separately.
  7. I didn't see any description, but yes, that much is obvious. Who provides that as a service then when you can do it for free?
  8. Our We do Twist and Shout & Surfin' USA, which we save for the end as they go down a storm. Noone in the band was born when those tracks were written.
  9. Mine was a nick in the tolex too. Its pretty good for the price reduction. They also had a Head of Doom reduced to half price for a while. just when I was thinking maybe I should get that, it sold!
  10. So my shuker has Shaller tuners on it - I think the lightweight ones, they certainly have plastic.., whatever the end bits that you turn are called. May 2021, I was tightening a string and the A tuner handle just broke, fell apart completely. Very irritating. Contacted Jon Shuker to mention it and he sent me a new one, which was nice. Put new strings on it yesterday, doing up the strings and the D string tuner also fell apart! wtf? People always go on about getting cheap basses and saying that you have to change the tuners. I have changed tuners in the past but I have never had to change tuners on a cheap bass, the sum total of playing the guitar since 1979 is 2 tuners, both these shalllers. Regardless of the outcome of this, I think I might just get some new tuners anyway! Anyone else had problems with this? Heres the original: And heres yesterdays
  11. Note there are two types of knobs, the volume knob and all the others. They have a different mounting
  12. Just checked, mine was £379 in November 2020, so maybe they always have one. However, I am pretty sure that i looked a few months ago at their B-Stock and it wasn't there then. Maybe they just put it in the shop for a while and if it doesn't sell they then put it on the web?
  13. Sounds very much the bass has been retroactively isolated rather than it being an individual track. There is some AI software that can separate the indivudual tracks of a recording but obviously it can't do it perfectly as all the audio isn't there. It tend to have the warbling phasing sound that you hear.
  14. Not even slightly Ska'd enough for the version that we do!
  15. I have a squier CV Mustang bass sitting behind me now. Surf green, rather than seafoam green. It has flats on, it is pretty good. Quality is fine, the only problem with mine was that the pickguard opening for the pickup was so tight around the pickup that the whole thing was pretty microphonic so I took it off and filed round the gap a bit. Now it is great. Very nice bass for the price (although mine was S/H, so the price was quite a bit less).
  16. You did - I was really chuffed when I got it at that price too. It seems occasionally PMT do some mad prices, which is odd considering they are normally not the cheapest. And I hadn't seen that price since I got mine, And mine has been gigged heavily since then and never let me down (although I think the mute light has recently stopped working)
  17. I see now that the dimension 5 is also in Inferno Red. If they had that colour to start with I would have probably already got one! seems USA only at the moment though
  18. Shouldn't be that surprised, it is about what I bought my B Stock evo 600 from them last year.
  19. Yep, one of mine broke / fell off, I just ordered a load more as they were pretty cheap, before I found out they would send the replacements free! Unfortunately they were in a box of things that my pigeons knocked over the other day while fighting and I haven't had a chance to dig them out yet. I know, first world problems!!
  20. Finally got round to putting some video up. Need to do more but it takes so long! I mentioned this somewhere else, there is omnipresent clicking in the sax, and for some reason, there is clicking on the TMB35 as well, not sure why, could be pickup impact as this is one of the few pick songs.
  21. Not if it is a 1005ms, as it appears to be, the 1005sms is the short scale and it comes in a darker green than this.
  22. There is an element of that that would be nice, but it depends if you can trust anyone else to do it! When we did the cab shootout, we used just a normal track and my BC112 cab provided the clearest / fullest range. In fact, apart from the markbass, they all did pretty well with just general music. In other news, I bought a RCF Evox 8 the other day on ebay. Having decided I wasn't going down that route it turned up on ebay 15 miles from here pretty cheap, I made a low offer and it was accepted. It was actually listed as a J8, but it clearly wasn't, it is made of wood. Sounds ok in the garden, just need a practice to test it out on
  23. Well, it actually makes sense that they remove them as although you could call it censorship, they are not actually reviews of the venue, they are people complaining about this post.
  24. Could always have contacted mods / admin, we could have connected you to your old account if you could have shown some proof it was you!
  25. Are they? They seem pretty damning when i look at them. Their current rating is 2 stars, are you looking at the right Great Barn, there are a lot of them!
