Just the normal, check a different power lead, make sure it is in right, check the fuses etc. Sounds like something was loose until i ttried to get power. Did it click at all?

OK, you can all give up the bass and go home now

I had no issue with the video, I didn't see it. I was just commenting on the education system. If I had realised that putting this throw-away comment would be too upsetting for some people I would have also not bothered. I thought we had agreed to disagree. To some degree yes. I just think there is more to an education system than how the education of children turn out. It came from watching a program quite a while ago by a South Korean guy about their eduction when people were complaining that our system was too lax (which maybe it is, and maybe things have changed since, esp. with the lockdown), where a lot of south korean children were dealing with a lot of stress, with a risk of suicide due to the fierce competition of the schools, and how failing in school in SK, pretty well condemns your future in a way it probably doesn't here. Sorry for the diversion. -

Is anyone running Logic Pro on an M1 MacBook Air?
Woodinblack replied to Velarian's topic in Recording
Oh no, I have had other ones (although I still have the 1994 one), its just all the others were refurbs. No, it took a lot of justifying, but then I pretty well live on my macbook pro, and the one it is replacing is 2013, so for a laptop I am expecting to use every day for the next 8 years, the costs are a bit easier to justify. Although the speed and slickness of it are impressive as expected, the thing that was really shockingly good was the sound - I have no idea how they make it sound so big. -

I did the same and got a M1 Macbook Pro 16". First new macbook since 1994, very impressed! -

Your kids not being driven to kill themselves because of the pressure of your education system. ok! -

4th highest suicide rate in the world. I would say they are failing quite badly myself. -
The future impact. Seems like if you want synth noises, and you had a 13 pin connector, the GR1000 would be a good way to go. Obviously not!
-
I was thinking with the FI connected.
-
So neat. Although not sure how you get your foot to that shelf. Although as you already have a GK13 cable, why not a GR1000 or something?
-
I must say I do like your labels. Every single time I gig with it I am like "So is the red one in?" and every time I practice it is "Is the one nearest the headphone?" Which is crazy, as I have a labeller!
-
I had no problem with the unlined part of my fretless, it was just the fretless itself which I was completely untalented on!
-
I guess my head must adjust for that, but also my angle is a lot shallower (ie, I am lookng more at the edge and feeling across). But enjoyment is what it is about so it is what works for everyone. I know I couldn't cope without the front marks on my chapman stick (as I have just put them back in), but then that has a lack of well, side, let alone side dots!
-
Why is that? My most commonly used basses don't have fret markers, and I don't notice, because I never look at the fretboard when I am playing, just the top side of the neck so I only see the fretmarkers when I am not playing, when it doesn't really matter. Or is it just for asthetic reasons?

No, if those were the sort of things I was looking for, that is the sort of order I would do it. Which is odd, as most keyboard players I have played with in the last few years wouldn't know a USB-C from a mains lead. The ones that play keyboard and do know, don't tend to be playing live! Indeed - that was always what I was told, and to be honest in trying, in the majority case that was not entirely unjustified.

Our band soundchecks with two. Brown Eyed Girl intro for the sax, Money for nothing for the vocals.

was fairly impressed, the wedding we just did, which was obviously after the food, the bride danced to every single song. We almost ran out of songs, playing about 3 hours, and she didn't miss a beat.
-
I would get your money back, that isn't a very good gold colour at all!
-
We do a dual sound check really. Our levels are probably pretty close relative to what we want so we start doing a song, singer wanders out and listens, gives some overall levels, I wander out (I am wireless), get most things set up, then we do a song where both me and the singer sing, and he (with a long lead) says whether it is ok. Then I make sure the sax and guitar are at the same sort of level, and then we go.

Facebook market? I thiink your range is wider than mine, I can only find one sold in Bristol. Ebay is stupid, half the ones on there cost more than the full price, but I guess that was always the way of eBay!
-
Where are they cheap? I was looking round to see what to sell mine for, but they seem to be all overpriced on ebay (ie, I wouldn't buy one for that price, which means I couldn't sell one for that price!)
