  1. I would imagine they will turn up at some point - probably just haven't got round to it yet, rather than intentional
  2. OK, I missed that, I thought it was an amp for use. Obviously if you kept the old one you could swap it back.
  3. Probably a good thing for stick players to have - although I am in 10 string classic tuning so not for me. GLWS
  4. Cant you just get the uk transformer to replace the US transformer for it? they are commonly available - generally not the cheapest things, but a lot less hassle than dragging a transformer around waiting for someone to plug it in the wrong place.
  5. It doesn't really matter at the moment does it, you are trying to work out what you want. If you try stuff it gives you a better idea what you want. If that is the sort of thing you are after you are pretty well going to find it in any shop, so maybe there is something more local to you?
  6. Wunjo bass have quite a lot of 5 strings, with a lot more variation, I would be tempted to wander down to there if I lived that close.
  7. You mean the picture in reverb from the seller also in perth with the same name? Maybe a coincidence! Or do you mean the one in reverb in korea for twice as much?
  8. My BAM you can hear the fan pretty early on, although it is not loud. After an hour or so of playing at any sort of volume the fan is fairly noticable (when you stop playing - it doesn't intrude). Gets quite hot after a few hours, obviously there isn't anywhere for the heat to go. The green light is on a lot of the time, I can't recall the green light being off that much when playing. I just have it so the green light is on with the occasional off, and no solid. Although honestly, don't worry about that too much as long as it sounds ok.
  9. You should see 3 posts at the top of the basses for sale forum, regardless of your phone, they cover the rules and advice for sellers etc.
  10. According to the rules at the top of the marketplace, yes you can.
  11. Maybe thoman say that as they would have a european plug in the box so it is easier if they say there is none so that you are not expected to be able to use it out of the box. I know everything I got from thoman had an adapter on it, but I haven't ordered anything since that all changed. Also zoom have always had 9v adapters, it would be odd to change that now.
  12. I have had switching options for everything going, end up sticking with the one you like!
  13. For seymour duncan pickups the black and white are one coil and the green and red are the others. Humbucker manufacturers handily have standardised on those 4 colours. Sadly they all mean different things! So this is what they mean per manufacturer: https://www.seymourduncan.com/blog/latest-updates/humbucker-wire-color-translation Which is handy for some but honestly I would always buzz it out with a meter first.
  14. Not really, still like clanky stuff.
  15. Oh didn't they briefly go down? Never mind, noone reads them anyway!
  16. Well, you have to practice hacking a few headstocks off before you get it right!
  17. The sale stickies have been rationalised as there were so many of them that you had to scroll to get through to the sales!
  18. Thats just a straight moog bass sound isn't it - future impact should be able to do that no problem.
  19. I think it would have sounded brighter if he had used yamaha engines!
  20. Hey, we haven't argued about this for over a month. here is something!
  21. I had one of those (not the natural though), when we went to the setup day down in the southwest I took that as I didn't want to damage any of my ibanezes, so that got set up and fret dressed and everything. It was a fantastic bass, sounded good and due to the fret work, one of the nicest to play, amazing value. Only moved it on because after doing a gig with it I would start walking round in circles it was so heavy!
  22. I don't do tapping at all (on a bass), but the volume of tap at various points in the string would be purely down to the action at that point. If the action is higher in one place than another, it will be louder as it has a bigger runup before hitting the fret (which is why you have a really level action on a chapman stick!). If you are finding it too loud on the talman your action is presumably too high. Failing that, get a compressor!
  23. For someone that buys too much gear, I think it is fairly unimportant. I am sure that most things can be made to sound ok whatever it is.
  24. Depends how much free reign he gets, or whether people just employ him for what he does. I must admit I hated the stuff he did with NiN, but obviously trent reznor didn't.
