I do have the second of my pair of evox's now, will have to bring them for measurement at some point (and maybe bring to the bassbash for some kind of test). I will note my second (plastic, 3rd gen) evox is louder than my first (wooden 1st gen), even though they both seem to have the same amp in them.

One of the great things about Basschat is that you can put up an advert for what you want and people with that item can contact you. Also Basschat is mostly a safe place with good people. However, it is still a public forum where people who aren't so great can join. Recently we have had a few notifications from members who were contacted by people who have been here ages, offering great deals with pictures. These messages have some things in common. * The user has been here a long time but hasn't posted in ages * The image is exactly what you asked for * The user wants paying only in Paypal Friends And Family (note, you shouldn't use this payment anyway if you don't 100% trust the person) The whole point of "Wanted" is to get things you want, but please be cautious. Check that if the person contacting you has been a member for a long time, they haven't had a large break in posting - If you click their name to see their history, did that history stop in say, 2014, with nothing until last week? If you have been provided with pictures, do the following: 1. Download one of the pictures 2. Go to google.com, click on the top right where it says 'images' 3. Click the icon in the search bar that is a bit like a camera, next to the magnifying glass. 4. Click 'Upload a file' and upload the image you downloaded in 1 5.. On the right there will be loads of similar images, but at the top of the left section there will be a button marked 'find image source' If that actual image (not just something like it) appears on the internet, there will be a link to where it was shown. Now if that image is on another site, it could well be that the user is also selling the item there, but as most of the links I have found tend to lead to Bassics.de or craigslist in California, you can be reasonably confident that they aren't the actual seller. If in doubt, you can always ask the user for another photo that they haven't provided such as 'can I see an image of the right side' or something, a genuine user selling something of many £100s shouldn't have an issue with that. And remember, like so many things in life, if it doesn't feel right, don't do it! Also if you do come across issues like this, just report the post and we can look into it, even if it is a message.

Yes, these are genuine replacements, so if you don't like effect A, you can swap it for effect B, then any time you select the effect on the panel, or manual or preset, you will be selecting effect B as that is what is there now.

Was playing aroudn with mine yesterday practicing some songs and setting up some patches. I like the octave (the mono one), I also like the drop thing (where you set a place, press the button and it dive bombs down/up and back up/down), and the pitch change is fine for the occasional one off trip to a different key in a band setting (would do it in a recording). I thought it was odd that you had different things in different places, ie, you have a whole compressor section, then you have a compressor in the chorus section, but then realised playing with it that the pitch effects are also in the compressor section, so if you set it to that you lose the compressor, apart from the one in the chorus section. I was going to play with more settings, but I got kind of stuck in the amp models, and ended up actually practicing, and also playing along with things that were in e flat, with the drop pitch.

Wireless system - Lekato, Boss or something else?

Oh damn you - I wasn't looking for any of this! -
Wireless system - Lekato, Boss or something else?
Woodinblack replied to ots's topic in General Discussion
Having now started thinking about this, as the lights are the single biggest lead (not individually, made from others etc, but goes round the back behind the drummer - I won't have anything over the front), so a wireless lights system woudl be good. Because we are just a pub band I have a couple of lights that flash in time to the music and not prepared to do a while light thing as I do the PA etc, so the answer 'what would happen if the wireless fails) is, well, one would just carry on as beofre, the other would go dark, but at the press of a button it could be independant too. -

That was similar to my edit part - except the one in my edit, the receivers are rechargable battery. But the transmitter isn't. If there was a charger that had an IEC passthrough so it could be put on the plug, that would be ideal! or I guess just something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/CERRXIAN-Outlet-Socket-Splitter-Conversion-black/dp/B0BJVJXQ9Y/ -

Wireless system - Lekato, Boss or something else?

Thats why i changed all my X18 routing to 5G network as it stopped the mixer working when I used the XVive IEMs (luckily at practices). It never interfered with the 2.4 dongles I had for the bass but I thought it was safest to go to 5G for gigging and keep my 2.4GHz one for home Haven't had that at all. Other than maybe some of this stuff upsets the Shure system. -
Keep up - we did that one on page 3 last month! I am not sure you really can show it on a video, I guess that is the problem of everything with video reviews. I have had all the zooms, have a Helix HXFX, have a Mod Dwarf (if bass direct ever return it), and never found the sense of immediacy I get with this, like the way it responds to the bass. No, it doesn't have any great synths, but for the rest of the stuff, its pretty perfect for me. And you can do your gig on 4AA batteries.

See I am the other way - I have never had trouble with the dongle type stuff on my bass, or my wireless headphones, but the Shure wireless system on the sax is the bane of our life, always clicking or dropping the connection, eats batteries etc. We have to leave it until everything else is on before we start and scan channels or it will drop out, and it just seems to have really poor performance. I would love to use something non shure there, but it isn't my issue really. -
That is the movement detection, you can turn that off in the app (but remember after updating it to plug the sender into the headphones for it to update). How to change it: Start "BOSS TONE STUDIO for WAZA-AIR" app. Tap "≡ (SYSTEM)." Tap "STANDBY SETTING." Change the TRANSMITTER'S STANDBY SENSING to "SOUND SENSING." - If MOTION SENSING is specified, the transmitter is in standby mode unless it senses vibration, and cannot be used. Reconnect the transmitter to the transmitter in of the WAZA-AIR unit, and perform the Auto Wireless Connection operation.

Compact mixing desks - what are you using?
Woodinblack replied to Al Krow's topic in PA set up and use
I just looked at mine, july 2017 for £448.88 - I had the XR16 before that for a few years but I wanted the multitrack recording. -

And thats what you get for saying that, I plugged them in at my last gig, no sound. Went to a cable which worked. Got them home and sure enough, no sound (the wireless still works, it knows if it is connected, but no sound), seems like the reciever output is broken. So I got some of the WS70 mentioned up the page, see what they are like, didn't like being on a cable! -

Mine is ethernet to the controls and wifi to the iPad. I adjust ours on the fly quite a bit but never had an issue in almost 200 gigs with it. -
I think the microtilt wasn't a bad idea in itself, i think it was just that at the time they did it, they also made neck pockets with enough play to allow small children to sneak past the gaps, so microtilt got the blame for it.

Indeed - I never knew people actually bought shims, and I have shimmed a few guitars and a couple of basses.

Ashdown plugin - curiously a Sweetwiter exclusive.
Woodinblack replied to fretmeister's topic in Amps and Cabs
There used to be loads, they have been reduced down to not many due to complaints. -
Yeh, that is pretty crazy, you have to drag a plug out to connect your bass, not sure if I could be bothered with that!

Here is my zoom B3n. It has never been used on a gig and used in a couple of practices and a couple of times in the house. It has hung around and I never really got into it. Great sounding unit, just doesn't work the way I do. As a result it is in pretty good condition although looking at the photos it has a couple of little scratches, which I didn't notice in person (and one I still can't see in person but it is on the photo). Includes shipping to any UK address that parcelforce or whoever post to without additional charge!
