I found the last bassshow I went to was just a bit too loud for me, I couldn't really try much as I couldn't really hear it as everything was too loud. I don't know how to get round that issue, I guess there isn't a good way for everyone!

Interesting thing that noone has brought up. What if the advert is from a woman, it doesn't say. Seems unlikely though. Also it could actually be a factual statement. I could say that about my band - there are no women in the band. Nothing against there being any, there just currently aren't.

No it wouldn't. You could get the most expensive bass ever and end up playing one of the cheapest. I have basses from £100 (new) to £2000 (second hand), and the one that gets played most in the house is £700. Nothing to do with the price, sometimes you just instinctively pick up one because it feels right.

Just a 'sorry for the continued delay' post - I assume it is the server out of memory that caused the problem as there have been no notifications for new replies sent since 14:19:46 on the 21st, and the server was updated the day before that. So notifications for messages, likes, and all the rest are still there but no notifications for new replies are going through (which is related to the delay in posting). So I know where, I know what, if only I could work out why, it would't be an issue! - edit - worked out the why! - edit 2 - and hopefully the why is fixed. Now just the delay left

The notifications and the slow postings are two sides of the same issue. The posting accesses a list of people who are waiting for a notification to notify them that something has changed. For some reason that is failing. Either to do with the update or a problem when the server ran out of space, I currently don't know but hopefully I can find out soon!

Sorry - I hadn't seen this, seemed to lack a notification! Are people saying that there are no notifications, or that some are missing. If you have no notifications at all, what theme are you using?

I am guessing from the add that he dosnt' really have much experience with band members full stop. Me too. Luckily noone in their right mind would want that image Thats weird. My wife had no problem singing prison sex by tool. She would however of had trouble singing hard to handle as she always laughs at that one (it is the image of one our singers singing about being a loving ladies man). dont be daft, if there was a post about an all girl group not wanting a man in the band tons of people would be piling in with a line just like yours.

That is no reason - our guitarist never lifts a finger to help set anything up. he doesn't even come up with an excuse, he just doesn't. I have never had that in a band with women in.

It is the same thing, and both are equally valid in the right context.

She doesn't like the sound of most women singers - a bit odd as she is a singer but that is her preference. She has nothing against groups with women in them, or even backing singers, just female main vocals that she just doesn't like There are no bands with female singers she likes. A few she respects, but none she actually likes. And yes, the last touring groups I saw (apart from Gary Numan) were Wolf Alice and Within Temptation, so she wouldn't go to those.
