As you say yourself, a 'noiseless' single coil is just a dual coil stacked top to bottom, so still a humbucker. So more a marketing term than anything else.
Neither was I, but try as I might I can't hear any of wolf alice in it at all, so not sure what you are hearing!
And yes, I really like wolf alice too.
I am really into that album at the moment had the pre-release tracks, and the rest of the album turned up.
I was notified by a friend of mine who is a rush fan, but it is not even slightly rush like, very much like SPC ECHO, which was what the guy in Curve did next.
Had never seen the video - don't think it helps the song.
There aren't any near us with any either that we play. The few times that there has been a sound system, it isn't something you would have wanted to go through anyway
I would say that it doesn't really have that much of an effect apart from noise in situations, it is a very riich sounding bass, and TBH, it probably wouldn't sound as good with humbuckers, so I don't see it as a functional issue.
Well, no they are tuned lower, that is the point of the baritone.
So a guitar is EADGBE, a 6 bass (and the SCR6) is an octave down from that and a traditional baritone is a 4th down - BEADGF#B - the second string there is the E of a guitar (there is an 8 string baritone that doubles up the two middle strings, no idea why)
Although technically anything between normal and bass is baritone.
Not true, our guitarist normally turns up when everyone else does, but he successfully manages to provide no help with any gear. He just sits in the way.
I don't think it would make any difference and fail to see why it is clickbait.
It seems a pretty clear thing, it says it is one thing and it isn't, either you care about it or you don't but it is incorrectly listed. I personally don't care, although don't understand why they list it incorrectly. I had one and it was fine. Quite a few people I know would be very annoyed about that sort of thing, so it seems a perfectly valid thing for someone to put out.
Yeh, all modern music is all just boom boom boom. Bloody kids get off my lawn. Back in my day we had such crafted songs as 'she loves you, yeh, yeh, yeh'
Guess it depends on how many you are getting - the thomman ones are half the price but with £8 shipping, whereas G4M have £2 shipping, so if you are buying 3 packs or less, G4M are cheaper, and if more than 3, Thomman are cheaper.
Not terribly exciting.
I did play an aria cat II bass for a long time though, and it was fine. But wouldn't really rush out and get another and they can be got very cheap.
I had one and it was great. i don't find it an issue it has a single coil, but he is right, if it says it has a humbucker it should have one.
It certainly makes no difference from a price point.
That has always been the way with pop music, the majority is bland copies, but there is a lot of decent stuff out there. Same as now, except I think there is even more good stuff than there used to be.
