  1. you can get a dual speak on splitter from most places that sell speak on leads
  2. Well, that is good enough for me, as I have an HX FX and a B3n. Quite a bit bigger than all of them then
  3. Looks nice with the black though - I need to do up my TMB35, its a great bass.
  4. Those string holders in black are pretty cheap it has to be said. I only know this as I have finally got round to buying a string retainer that should have come with my Maruszczyk
  5. Virtually none, there is a permitted 0.02% permitted variation, which is probably more stable than any tuner you are going to get. Old clocks used it as their time base.
  6. 60Hz is half way between A# and B, but you would have to be in the states for that to be relevant. Over here, our 50Hz is close to G but not exact. Apart from a free tuning app on the phone, you only need one other person (preferably not the drummer) to give you a note and that is it sorted isn't it? I have tuners, but if I am upstairs, i just play an A on the piano and go from there.
  7. I must admit I would agree with that on the basis that the 4 string headstock on a spector looks really ugly to me, wheras the 5 string they have got it about right
  8. If you had worn those glasses, it probably would have looked like that!
  9. I like the spalted maple one although the pickups look a bit too big.

    How much?

I think it is an area thing. We charge around 300 for a group of 4 for a pub gig, more for parties/weddings etc.. seems to be a bit more since the pandemic. But it depends on your area and what other people are charging. If people who don't come up with the bookings think you should get more then maybe it is up to them to get those higher paying gigs?
  11. Hmm.. haven't seen that. will keep an eye out
  12. Mine was the newest car I had ever had and was pretty immaculate!
  13. No, I don't get a chance, I have to set up the lights, pa, everyones sound and get everything done while listening tto the guitarist playing pentatonic widdling a heavy volumes with a break for 'are we ready for a sound check' every 5 minutes.
  14. We are generally within walking distance of home, so I don't think I have ever had my toothbrush!
  15. I get more room anxiety, in that I always have a little on edge before I go to the gig, whcih subsides by the time I actually have to do the gig, generally all the setting up etc takes it away. Its slightly less in a place I have been to regularly than a new place.
  16. It has solid maple with no walnut, but the preamp is a replacement. The serial indicates it is a 2001 euro
  17. Unless they are the ones where the singer skipped 2 songs, or the guitarist decided to pick a different song without telling anyone. If all you can hear is your drummer in your IEMs, really loud, you have swapped 3 and 4 around again!
  18. I often can't remember how a song starts, but once i know the first two notes I pretty well remember it all. Some thingns that are a bit tricky I will forget the detail of, but most of the time not an issue. Certainly if I was going to do something with songs I knew, if I went through them once beforehand I would remember them. Obviously if they are things you don't know, and there is a lot of them, its has the potential to be much harder!
  19. There used to be one in winchester which meant I had to vary my route to avoid it as it made me feel sick, I was in my mid 30s then.
  20. WIth a days notice it is a bit like a dep - you can't expect someone to know all the details, just put the chords down, get the easy ones knocked out and anything with any detail, do the best you can and say that you can't get the detailed part of all the songs in a day.
  21. So those covers on the back all stand out from the surface? Seems odd when most other makes they are put level
  22. That was my thinking. I had the legend, I didn't like it at all, it put me off spectors, which is a bit unfortunate. This is nothing like that. I don't think that is true - I have played on the same stage as you
