  1. Dingwall certainly do fretless as an option Clearly I read that wrong, nothing to see here
  2. I have not seen / heard of that. Also the email system has nothing to do with the PM functionality
  3. That is how it always works. If you watch fox news you can see them praising Trump for doing the same things they slated biden for doing, and vice versa. It doesn't matter what it is that is done, it is who is doing it. They are currently tying themselves in knots trying to explain why the stock market going down is a good thing, after years saying it was bad!
  4. Absolutely - have a gig on friday, the first gig or practice in a month. Gonna be great
  5. That's the theory but as one of the few people with a 42" scale electric bass (ie, not EUB, which is the same), the 42" G doesn't sound twangy at all. I think the best reason is that it is easier to play.
  6. It is - its one of those lines that you can use for warming up or just testing a bass out
  7. You certainly can get it to work on windows, its just a bit more work. Is there nothing on the A&H site about it?
  8. I suspect the problem with an eub bag is the width. The bag I have for my NS:Wav is clearly way to narrow, I would assume they all are!
  9. The full length, bass to tip of the headstock is 134cm Been looking, found a Warwick Buzzard case that was long enough, but an odd shape which might not fit (in fact, I was puzzled how it fits a buzzard), and a few 88 key cases. There is an Flying V bag that is long enough but it tapers to the neck (as you would expect from a V), which is where the sei is the widest.
  10. I assume the two larger black boxes are those, due to the colours of the wires, but no labels on them, not sure if they are removed or on the bottom. Still haven't found anything, was going to modify an existing old bass case with an extension, seemed easier than making a new case!
  11. I have an old original macbook air - like an original 2008 intel macbook air, and I use garageband to record from the mixer. Its not worth anything so no risk using it live and it works fine.
  12. I have used the Behringer as a multitrack recorder many times. Having said that I haven't tried adjusting the levels when playing as I am normally one of the ones playing! Slightly easier in my case though as it was into a mac so I just plug the USB in and press go.
  13. That used to be a regular in our repertoire for many years, seems to have disappeared in recent months. Good fun bass line to play
  14. An alpha mako. And now I have a Sei, perhaps a slightly shorter one for gigging around, so a 5 string headless fretful.
  15. It would be tight (ie, it is exactly the same lenth as the bass, so not sure how much room there is, but it is too narrow at the body due to the horn! Seems strange noone makes a case for a bass that is 53" long and as wide as an ordinary bass
  16. Oh if only that were true! Google says its 3 hours and 5 minutes avoiding traffic, so a 6.5 hour round trip, which involves driving and being in London, which isn't something I like doing!
  17. Took me long enough to find a gig bag to fit the bongo - I carried it home in that but there was quite a lot sticking out!
  18. Interesting, thanks, I will do a lookup. THere are 2 bart preamps as well as these two boards. One is a single PCB with 2 sets of dip switches on it. No, tell a lie, there are 2 probably bart preamps, another potted box, presumably a preamp, a single PCB that is printed with dip switches on and an jfet op amp (LF442) on the other side, and a single PCB on a bit of veroboard with what looks like a TL061 amp. Very unlikely i can do that - I go to london maybe once every 2 or 3 years, and when I do I don't really have the option to lug a 5kg bass (with no case or bag) around with me! It does indeed
  19. Interestingly enough (at least to me), I decided to have a poke around in the elctronics last night. Both separate boards are preamps, not sure why there are two, one is a printed one, one is a bit of patchboard. I found out the LEDs weren't working as one of the battery wires had come off the battery holder (on the 2xAA holder), so when that is back the front volume pull switch turns on the LEDs. So I have no idea what the other switch does and it is under too many wires to get to to see - the other switch is a series / parallel / single coil I think. But for what I don't know, maybe both of them as it is a 4 pole 3 positon I failed to get any response from emailing Bass Gallery unfortunately - maybe they are another company that don't respond.
  20. 1: in general they probably don't 2: actually in use, its big but not so big
  21. Then you send a letter to their registered address asking you to send updated banking details with a reference to quote
  22. I was incorrect, it was actually a 42" scale.
  23. Turns out I have been exaggerating its length all this time, its 42", not 43! So its close to the 4th fret where 34" is, slightly before it, so if I tuned it C F A# D# G#, it would be about right at the 4th fret
  24. Ooh 170, that is a big chap, not sure what is on there at the moment, but it seemed to handle quite a bit lower before it got too flappy. I am not sure why it needs to be so big when you have a scale like this, but he must know what he was doing. Not sure a 170 would fit through the bridge
