Not sure of your point - as I said, I am not a vegetarian, so I have nothing to defend here. My statement isn't whether something is ethical or good or environmentally friendly or not - especially the latter. If we cared about the environment we would be getting rid of people and maybe using their skin, that would be better. It is purely down to how the person who is buying something feels about it, whether they are happy with it or not.

Of course it is. Are you happy wearing the flayed skin of a dead animal around your neck, yes / no.

The Elusive Ibanez Artcore Vintage AFBV200A

Are you sure? -
For completeness on the thread, here is the Denali strap (it also has a plectrum holder at the top)

One of the funny things on the vegan forums and facebook groups. People are constantly complaining that things don't taste quite right, but when they do, everyone is paranoid that it isn't really vegan!
-
Aparently a lot of people really really care if someone else chooses to eat meat or own leather. I am not a vegan, but my wife is and frankly it is an eye opener how other people are. My grey paisley one that I posted up there was a custom as it was only on their site as a guitar strap, but my wife wanted to get it for me for my birthday so she contacted them and got it made wider with extra padding.

Thats one thing I love about them - although it would be irrelevant if they weren't good, but they are. Not only is it recycled and nothing was killed for it, some of those old cars had really good interiors, especially in the 70s. Well, maybe not for a car, but for a strap!

i like Amp II software, wondered if it translated the same. Sounds good

I started liking the smoother tone, but now can't stand thuddy dull bass.

Although my basses are wireless, I have two cables (a straight and right angle) that I got made with Neutrik (switching) jacks and van damme cables on eBay that have been fantastic, and not that expensive.

I can't imagine that oil production will ever truly dry up, and even if it does, it doesn't mean you can't make plastic like materials. Even when you are not using petrochemicals for fuels, oils still have many uses.

I really have wanted the white paisley none-more-white couch strap for ages, but its £50 before you add shipping from the states, and I also have no white guitars, so it would seem a bit pointless!

What are the positive grid bias amps like? I was always interested but never really heard of anyone having one!
-
Or not - China is the biggest exporter of leather, and get through an average of 2 million cats and dogs to produce it as you can't tell the difference anyway. And in that case is the primary source then, any meat is a byproduct. And even without that, the opposite, if you don't buy leather it will reduce the value of leather and reduce the value in killing cows. I am not vegan, or even vegetarian, but if there is a choice where both options are as good, I will go for the vegan option.

Most of my straps are couch, and they are very comfy. They would be by go to strap. I also have a right on and one by Denali
-
I have a couple of the RightOn straps. They are quite stiff but good none the less. However, I sold the blue bass my blue strap matched!

Was never a huge fan of their pedals, but the X18, BCM2000 and other interfaces are brilliant. Also their synth revivals are good.

I had a TC head with TC cabs (actually still do), but now use the Ashdown ABM600 with either the TC cabs or the basschat cab. Can't really pair that, because there isn't a basschat amp yet!

KISS kick Dave Lee Roth off the farewell tour
Woodinblack replied to peteb's topic in General Discussion
Couldn't kiss have just lent him their backing tapes and taught him to lip sync, then they wouldn't have had problems! still, maybe they could get motley crue in instead, or maybe even Docken
