Never noticed that, but when you have heard it you can't unhear it. Hard to find any information on who played on those songs. Recorded at argo records, a subdivision of chess, but it doesn't say who played on it.

Well, they have - as I said, the SR1000 prestige had a parametric EQ with 2 stacked knobs, bass/treble and mid boost/mid frequency. The standards had 3 way bass, middle, treble, while the more budget end had bass and treble. The SR5005 prestige has (had when I got it) a parametric EQ with 4 knobs originally and has now gone to the same style as the premiums in having Bass / Mid / Treble with originally a 2 way selector for mid frequency, and later a 3 way selector That is quite likely with the fixed middle frequency being 'what ibanez do', as in noone is crying out for them to change it. A 3 band EQ is just a parametric control where you have fixed the frequency rather than letting the user change it, there is no more to it than providing a control.

I would take issue with the word 'become'

Over £135 its free

And fees for carriage as it is getting very expensive to find companies that will carry things to the UK at the moment, so those companies can charge what they like

I agree, I am not sure why they went away from that in the first place. My SR1000 from mid 2000s had a parametric, it seems later they went to the bass / mid / treble, which is not as useful a control I didn't know that.

Didn't change the preamp, perfectly happy with that, just changed the knobs, its still an active passive switch.

Fitted the John East knobs to it today, I think they go pretty well with the tuners. Took the opportunity to take the socket apart. If you take it out, undo the little security screw (panic a bit as it makes one of the terminals fall out), then pull the black bit out of the metal bit (noting which way round it goes as I didn't), then under the orange tab is a little spring. You can make the spring shorter if you want to reduce the pressure of the release mechanism on the socket, or what I did, take it out as I never got the point of those things. Now you can plug in and out like a normal socket.

I mentioned it fitted in the hercules hanger, but I don't do it and I must admit with all that said, I would be rather reluctant to hang it in a hanger like that with the presure of it only going on the piece of wood that broke on mine - the part held is entirely the part that is glued on. Good case. Although I am ok with the existing one.

For that price you could probably get a new one that wasn't so worn out!

Its not a legal enforcement, it is a contract term. Your contract doesn't let you sell outside your area, if you sell outside your area, you lose your contract terms, which may have been more favourable than others. We had some contract terms on my wifes web shop that precented selling things on eBay (which we didn't do anyway). Within the european economic area, but we are not protected by that now, so people can charge what they want.

Mesa Boogie sold, Ashdown, Trace Elliott rumours?
Woodinblack replied to Chienmortbb's topic in Amps and Cabs
I have a TC Electronic BAM200, which sits above my EVO IV 600 connected to my BC speaker that I use in the house, it is perfect for that. No, I couldn't gig it but it was £85 new and it is the best practice amp I have, far better than the PJ combo and even the bose S1 that preceded it (the bose is still there for vocals). -

Not sure - isn't it something very useful to have in a gig bag in case your amp dies? OK, might never happen, but if it does you would be happy for it. -
Oh that is nice, especially the pickups. The 5er neck is like the neck that every other bass should be judged by. But maybe I have biases

I am ok with my 800 mHorse amp. -
Worth upgrading from an Ashdown ABM-600-EVO III to IV?
Woodinblack replied to PeteJ's topic in Amps and Cabs
Yes, there are differences, but the golden rule of not spending your time chasing the next best thing, If you are happy with the III, stick with the III. Plenty of other stuff to worry about. From a chaser of things! -

From my POV - I blame gibson, because that is what gibson did with pretty well everything - they just bough labels to kill them. I don't understand why peavey bought them if they weren't going to do anything with them. Thats why I think TE should be left - their spiritual successor is Ashdown, so there really is no need for TE there. -

As mentioned, Volume can't even be measured in watts. But you didn't. Make up your mind what you are saying please? One minute you are talking about volume, now about rating. you could aways use watts to say how much power you can put out, as long as you specify what that power rating means. Where were you when Donald Trump needed a new press secretary! -
Because if it is a metal case, most people are going to put it in a padded bag to stop it getting scratched I would have thought. But if that is what you want, why not ask them?

Maybe we are all just reading it wrong, and he actually just left an L out of wal type - Wall type - ie, leaning against a wall.

Some VERY good news at last - live music back by the Spring?
Woodinblack replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
None of them, but I didn't say they did. However, some did close their borders. Because it is a matter of political will, and our government doesn't have that will. 65 days to totally lock it down. I have no idea what is the longest any european nation has done, presumably not enough. It is obviously harder in mainland europe as they have long borders, we don't. Anyway, you appear to be implying it is just NZ - it isn't, it is large parts of the east that have locked it down, including much bigger countries. lets face it, everyone is currently better than us, as we are literally the worst, so I say, look at what anyone else does and follow them. Given the choice between 65 days and a proper tracing program run by someone competent, vs 9 months and a few billion to the PMs mates, I know which I would choose. Thats ok, we are proving with brexit we can shut all trade down too! -

Absolutely no part of freedom of movement meant that you couldn't shut all the borders if you have a reason to do so. Several european states did. No, we just chose not to because we didn't want to. More relevant, why didn't we impliment quarantine like australia did? You come in, 14 days enforced quarantine and if you break it you face huge fines and prison, and they are checking. Again, completely irrelevant, we could have shut them. its in the European treaties as we were sovereign independent countries. But we won't Because they didn't want to because of our political make up. We wanted to keep things open for economic reasons, which is why our economy is still not working and NZ (and most of asias) is. -

No - its no like you are being discriminated on for your race, it is a requirement for a job, such as them saying you need to hold a driving license for a driving job. If they need someone who can easily get in the EU, I would assume it was essential. Currently if you have a european passport and british settled status, youre in the best of both worlds for travel, you would have all the rights we all used to have. -
Odd for the Nords to be considered clinical.

TBH, I don't really get insurance for damage, I get insurance for when they lose it, which seems the mostly likely thing.
