  1. That would make no sense, so If I asked for a fan fret with a saddle spacing of my favourite string spacing of 16.5mm, I would actually have a physical string spacing of 13.75mm. That would be a bit tight (although still prefereable to 21mm on the ibanez). Not sure what you mean about string guages, that has no relevance to string spacing, the sadles are in the same place whether you put strings on or not. Just in case we are talking at cross purposes, this is the Ibanez. I would call this 17.5mm spacing (as do ibanez), its 21mm between saddles
  2. They do a peppermint one: I think they look great, apart from I think the dropped the ball with the pickups, which should have at the very least been filtatrons if not something more retro
  3. Hmm.. wondering how they are working that out. Obviously the spacing between strings on a fan fretted bass is going to be less than the distance between the saddle centres. On my ibanez fan fret, the string spacing is 17.5mm, but the sadle centre spacing is 21mm. I guess they must be going for the first way
  4. Looks interesting. Like this sort of shape? https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Hartwood-Charger-Electric-Guitar-Strawberry-Milkshake/31J1
  5. what is the spacing on those 6 strings? I mean like the parallel spacing if it was flat. Is it less than 17mm?
  6. Yes, but he doesn't have a bass VI. the GK3B fits that fine. I have had a GK3B on both a Squier P Bass and a G&L L2500.
  7. If you remember from previous threads, the GK3 has the wrong spacing for a 6 string bass
  8. Agreed wholeheartedly, although I am a great fan of guitar synths, you do need to be very good on them to get up to "passable keyboard player" level.
  9. That looks nice without the pickguard. Never been a fan of the 50s PBass as that guard is such a horrible shape. But like that it looks good.
  10. the guy just asked me when I was having the fitting so just went for red Those are 17s, which is what he recommended for that reason
  11. They gave me the colour options, and I almost went for purple but red just seemed a lot harder to lose. I was surprised they were that red, but not unhappy!
  12. Looking more seriously into these now. I would like to try a 6 string again but don't want to waste too much money on it if it isn't for me. So people who had them, do you still think they are any good, are they worth £350 (the deals on eBay don't really seem worth it now)?
  13. Great price, I would go for that if I was within a few hundred miles!
  14. The original EWI from many years ago had a separate synth block as did the 3000, but they haven't been made for a few decades. The current 4000 and 5000 have built in sounds, and the USB is just a USB controller
  15. The 5000 is fully self contained, you just need to plug it into something (also has wireless audio).
  16. refurb from musicgroup (the people who own behringer and TC-Electronics etc). £85 + postage.
  17. I just bought a BAM200 for around the house. It was £90, its really loud and sounds fine, I am rather impressed, it fits in the front pocket of a gig bag.
  18. Luckily I am not good enough for it to be a problem!
  19. EWI 5000. (Electronic Wind Instrument). I have mine in flute mode, as I don't play a sax!
  20. I saw. I would love the CV mustang in the bronco colour! They also do a fender mustang in shell pink too, but twice the price and with the wrong pickups. Like all these things, trying first is the key where you can
  21. Yes, I bought a classic vibe mustang last year, but then got notification that it was going to be 6 months until delivery so I cancelled it. Would still be keen on getting one!
  22. I tried one of those. Not a very comfortable beast with its square edges!
  23. Ah, like a cheap copy of a Gordon Smith GS! I admit I like the TV yellow, I was thinking of having my LP redone in that colour
