  1. Which is exactly how I use mine. In that end the LT gave me an additional two foot pedals, which were ok, an expression pedal I didn't use, but unfortunately took away a huge amount of space, which is more important Luckily never seen it so I don't miss it. Although metering doesn't seem like anything I would need live - I have the mixing screen of the X18 in front of me, enough metering for anyone!
  2. Nope, never had an issue with it, the HX has enough for what I want to do. Without needing the amp / cab stuff there is enough in there for everything I want. If I was performing with the Chapman stick, then I would probably want to go back to a Helix as that would be two processing paths, but that isn't going to happen any time soon
  3. Upgraded their helix to an LT? Isn't that a downgrade or did you mean a stomp? I got a LT cheap for a while but went back to my HX Effects. Sold it for more that I got it for though, which is good. If I had been a guitarist I fully FRFR would have probably kept it though.
  4. I assumed it was the law if you were a student, you had to.
  5. wouldn't say it is an embargo, its just that the HX Effects is for effects, like it says on the tin.
  6. Always loved Curve - Shame they didn't do a bit more
  7. "Please sir, can I carry your bags back to your car, can I help tidy up the classroom". Come on lads, lets get him when he gets out to the playground
  8. That comment is useless with pictures!
  9. Yay - mine turned up too!
  10. Oh but it's hard to live by the rules - I never could and still never do
  11. They are the talk of the town apparently
  12. That isn't a synth term as such, that is just a generic filter. A notch filter is a narrowish area where all output is removed. Generally used to remove a problematic frequency, such as noise or feedback. Why you would want that on a bass I don't know.
  13. Maybe a low pass filter with an exagerated shelf edge that notches, like a backwards square root symbol?
  14. <Checks postbox> 😢
  15. But he isn't though is he? You can't really turn on the telly without seing farage and his bunch of right wing nutjobs moaning about their free speech being curtailed. The president of america has been spouting right wing conspiracy theories heavily for the last 4 years, don't see his free speech going anywhere, or the whole news organisations set up to pander to that world view. If anything, there is more right wing free speech than left wing free speech these days. Even the bbc isn't allowed to come up with an opinion without having to add 'but some people think it is reasonable to drown immigrants in the channel' too to balance it out.
  16. Who wants a fender banjo?
  17. Even if they are reading it, noone is doing anything!
  18. No, but neither do pickups that have plastic covers have plastic pole pieces or windings! I like wooden pickup covers, don't have any now, I did have.
  19. Agreed the decal is way too high up, but the colour just looks like a Sienna Burst with an overly saturated photo. But if it was all genuine, isn't that really expensive for a 78 fretless P? I mean, is that the going rate for a late 70s P now? edit: No, Sienna burst wasn't intro'd until 79
  20. I have the TRH10 and used it for a long time, it is surprisingly good at bass. I haven't used it for a while as I have a lot of better things now, but it is impressive for its size.
  21. No, its quite a common expression for the sort of behaviour of people who want to ignore facts because the fiction is more comforting.
  22. As other said, quite the opposite. I have had a computer at home for over 40 years. Only had a smartphone for the last decade. Only really been in the last few years that you could do all that recording and stuff on a smartphone, so you seem pretty much at the bleeding edge.
  23. I assume as it is a guitar amp it already is quite high passed
  24. Absolutely - not familiar with the 605, but assuming it has the 'standard' mid range SR Bartolini mk1s (just looked an it has) they are a night and day upgrade. I am not a fan of the MK1 bartolinis, the custom american ones in the premier are great but the mk1s are pretty dull and a bit lifeless. The Nords are very bright and agressive, they really bring the life out of an ibanez. If you had enough beer you probably wouldn't be afraid!
