The bass side has the tapered edge (from about the middle) , the treble side is straight, so like half of that!

Just tried to put them on my shuker uberhorn, but sadly they don't fit! the ball end winding is too big, so back to the normal ones for that. Will save them for one of the ibanezes

I listened to them a lot, went off them, but with a group of people who weren't even alive when they were going, I now enjoy gigging Whole Lot Of Love with the group. Mind you, I tried suggesting this version and the guitarist really seemed offended (singer and drummer though it was a good idea)

Been a funny old year, I have bought quite a few things, but it is hard to remember what was this year and what was last. Best: ibanez EHB1505ms - was a complete faff having to deal with bax and return it because the headstock was cracked, but on the upside there was a bit of an advantage to that. But ignoring that, it is a fantastic bass, light vibrant, lovely to play. In fact, now when I pick up a bass it is either this or: Shuker Uberhorn - just a thing of beauty. Lusted after it at the bass guitar show in 2017 and now it is sitting on my wall. and a small usb page Turner, cost very little, works perfectly. Was going to make one but this was cheaper than the box and switches honourable mention to my BAM200 amp. worst: TC electronic spectradrive. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with it, works well, but when it comes down to it, it doesn't do anything I couldn't already do. I mean it is no good gigging, as I have a TC450 which had the compressor and drive in it, I don't need a di, I don't need a headphone amp. so I will probably put that up for sale. also Shuker 6 string artist. Great bass but not for me. Why did I decide that maybe 18mm spacing would be ok. But I sold it for what I got it for and got to find out what a nice chap mr Shuker is, when I got a replacement preamp for the one broken in it so not feeling bad about it and probably would have never got the uberhorn without having it first

The string anchors, next to the bridge, not sure if they are hole throughs or just things to hold the strings, but they aren't quite in a line, and they don't seem to have a pattern to them. OK, now I have gone to their page and seen that they are string anchors and yes they are like that, so they get closer to the bridge B-E-A, then the D is at the same level as the A, then the G goes further away again. Seems an odd choice, but I guess as we know with the 'what bugs you' thread, we are all a bit different on what we like (and I think the basses look rather lovely).

Looks beautiful, apart from, I hope the actual string holders aren't quite like that

Well, not the same neck as mine was the 1505, but the problem looks almost exactly the same as mine did They need to get that problem fixed, because my replacement, it is one of my absolute favourites and it looks like yours is way newer than mine (my replacement was older), so it is still causing issues. Also, write to Ibanez UK ( [email protected]) - I did, they were actually surprisingly responsive

Do you have pictures of the headstock? Mine was broken and fixed / refunded. Just want to check it wasn't the same one

Wow, you must have really short arms, I can tune a thunderbird and I am only 5'8"! I just don't like 3/1 because it looks terrible.

Same here on both the iPad and the Mac.

I don't think 5 in a row looks that good on some (not on like a jazz headstock, fine on something more rock), but anything is better than 4/1, which looks like a homebrew where someone has just added one themselves.
