  1. The 5000 is fully self contained, you just need to plug it into something (also has wireless audio).
  2. refurb from musicgroup (the people who own behringer and TC-Electronics etc). £85 + postage.
  3. I just bought a BAM200 for around the house. It was £90, its really loud and sounds fine, I am rather impressed, it fits in the front pocket of a gig bag.
  4. Luckily I am not good enough for it to be a problem!
  5. EWI 5000. (Electronic Wind Instrument). I have mine in flute mode, as I don't play a sax!
  6. I saw. I would love the CV mustang in the bronco colour! They also do a fender mustang in shell pink too, but twice the price and with the wrong pickups. Like all these things, trying first is the key where you can
  7. Yes, I bought a classic vibe mustang last year, but then got notification that it was going to be 6 months until delivery so I cancelled it. Would still be keen on getting one!
  8. I tried one of those. Not a very comfortable beast with its square edges!
  9. Ah, like a cheap copy of a Gordon Smith GS! I admit I like the TV yellow, I was thinking of having my LP redone in that colour
  10. What would be different about that from the current doublecut les paul junior?
  11. Child of mine (like most songs) had a series of patterns which are used interchangeably all the way through. Once you have the patterns sorted you just need the order to put them in and even that doesn't really matter as they can go anywhere with the same chords, which is almost all the way through apart from the solo at the end
  12. Depends why you are going there, if you are just looking it poses no risk at all, just that it doesn't have a correctly configured ssl site, but you don't need it to have
  13. Yep, as mentioned in my post. I have a blue paisley RightOn, although I find the, quite stiff, the couch ones are the clear winners I think.
  14. Any solid state amp is fine. The voltage goes up and down but doesn't go anywhere, so no power is drawn. Valve amps are a problem because because you are actually getting the power from a transformer, and not connecting it can cause damage. The ampeg PF amps have a dummy load that is put in place if you have no speaker connected.
  15. See that would look fine if the pointy switch by the bridge was just above where the jack socket is, the top pointy switch was down just a bit and the switch was a push pull somewhere and then the sockets could be on the edge or the back. Except the switches then would need to be spaced properly. Don't they have rulers?
  16. Yes, I would have actually had to stop playing and go over to stop her. I couldn't put up with that.
  17. Then James Jamerson wanted his bass back!
  18. Everything on the first Sixx.AM album, as it is all from Nikki Sixxes diaries about a period in his life..
  19. Nice, I have a NP5 on my elwood
  20. All the couch ones I have, the right on and my new expensive Denali are all vegan. Makes it a bit more expensive as strangely two of those are american.
  21. I don't think so, I have had new / almost new / old ibbys before and TBH they don't seem to change much over time (and my SR1000 I got in 2005). It just is very different. Maybe it is the difference between a shiny finish and a matte one, or maybe it is that 13 laminate neck means it is very solid.
  22. Well that is slightly different as the issuer of those proclamations actually knew they were lies when they said them!
  23. There is a massive difference between the two. I don't know why, there just is. The 2605 is way brighter and quite harsh, the 1605 is fuller. To be fair I like both of them and live obviously the differences aren't so pronounced, I just felt not much point having both, although I might just end up keeping them anyway. My 1505 was my favourite when I got it, then it went back, then my new shuker was my favourite when I got that, then the 1505 came back and not sure. I played at a practice for a gig that didn't happen though and the 1505 really shone. However, the shuker is still the looker and great to play, as long as you don't want to dig in. The EHB is more the angry kid on the block. But the other day I picked up the 1605 to play something and.. you know, like a favourite old pair of slippers? The EHB doesn't have big singles though, even if they look the same, it has big splits. Truth to tell it is not a lot of difference although they are humbuckers which means I can get near the valve amp. The variable mid is certainly better than the switch, on the 1505 (and on the original 5005 and 1000) and a bit easier to find what you are looking for. And also makes it easier to use with the shuker that has similar (but not the same) layout
  24. Don't have enough empty floorspace to do that Although I got rid of my GWB36 and my SRF705, so I am just left with the 5005, 1605, and 1000. Well, and the 2605 that I haven't sold. But I think that is my lowest level of SRs for a while. But I have the EHB1505 to take up some slack.
  25. Certainly, anyone putting a drink on my amp or speaker is at risk of death
