  1. https://www.paypal.com/uk/digital-wallet/ways-to-pay/pay-with-qr-code You would have difficulty doing that as by using paypals systems you have said that they are the ones to deal with disputes, so if you did try you certainly wouldn't be using paypal again.
  2. Paypal has a qr code that you scan if you pick up in person, proving your received it. And for a bank transfer, then it doesn't matter what they say, you have the money and they can't do anything about it (or paypal friends and family - same thing)
  3. I use bax if there is no other choice or it is ridiculously cheap, otherwise not prepared to take the risk. Although I guess you can say that my normal problems with them have more to do with hermes than them, but it is their choice to use hermies.
  4. Well, it might be worth getting one of those, or taking a trip to somewhere it is available and trying it. What I hear in a bh2 might be different to what you hear in it, and my use of a bh2 was restricted to a fretted bass, it might be different on a fretless. Indeed, but never going to happen, its just not how they work. However, there are earlier models - if what you like is a fretless p bass tone, they used to do a fretless with a split pickup, things like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116095796108 there is a 5 string too, come up from time to time
  5. Absolutely nothing that is a description of how a bass sounds needs to have 'IMO' attached as that is a given. There is no such thing as an object fact about a good bass sound so it would be completely pointless to add. I would take that to be understood by anyone participating in a conversation about pickups.
  6. I mean actually talking to yourself in your head. You know the inner monologue that talks to you when you are around, I had assumed that everyone had it, but then found out that some people did it, and was very taken aback by that. I guess from that point of view it is hard to understand how peoples heads work if they don't have an inner voice, but I guess they would be the same about people having one. I had a girlfriend who would actually move their lips in time to anything that someone was saying to them, like repeating it herself.
  7. If you can hear music in your head and as you say, I assume everyone does* how can you not hear 'new music', ie, any other tune your head has made up? * I was suprised when i learned that not everyone had their voice in their head, so maybe I am wrong about people being able to hear music in their head.
  8. As long as Sheila and Adrian had a good time, thats all that matters!
  9. First time in the Racehorse taunton last night - in fact, probably the first time in taunton proper, which consider we are a band from Yeovil (25 miles from taunton) is quite odd in itself - we have done the villages around but not the town. Anyway, very narrow, long pub, tiny space, awkward load in, but in general was a great night, really enjoyed it and left with future bookings and wedding (gig, not proposal), so I am guessing it went down ok. There were a lot of people in the pub but you couldn't see many of them, they passed the door or went past from the room at the front or the room behind me or the outdoor area. Beyond that space in the picture was just people. It was pretty up close and personal. Second gig with a keyboard player, not sure I was convinced it was a great idea before, but although it doesn't work on everything, he really has brought a new dimension to some songs A bit of a pain breaking down, not much room, and a lot of people in the way of everything and walking through. Although it is further than we usually go (yes I know a lot of you travel miles, we dont!), it was a really quick journey back as the roads were empty, so back before 1. Noticed a private message on our facebook that we were amazing. Always nice to get a compliment although sometimes it would be nice if it was visible on the page!
  10. not sure why the two band isn't appropriate for fretless, I mean I tend to leave all my eqs flat and do whatever shaping I want to do with some graphic externally, you have a lot more control. i have a Garry Willis, I don't think the single pickup actually reduces the versatility that much although I am not much of a fretless player
  11. There is a bit of an improvement I suppose. I owned a 705, and an 805 that had the BH2s on it. and ibanezes with the MKs on them. I have owned quite a few Ibanez's, I still own 4, but none of them have licensed barts on them. 2 have Nords (big single and big split), 2 have USA barts on (both prestiges). I really liked the 805, but in the end, as they had just come out at the time it was an additional 3-400 to get some pickups for it, and it wasn't worth it on a bass of that cost. edit - recount.. I actually own 6 ibanezes (7 if you include guitars), but 2 are on the 'probably not staying long term' pile
  12. If the sound of the BH2s works for you then I say go for it, not something I would end up keeping (from experience) but it's for you
  13. Whilst not having tried either of those, I have a 1505ms and have gone through several other ibanezes. In my book, I would love the 1005f, but it would be an extra cost to replace the pickups with nordys or something, which the 905 already has, so I would go for the 905.
  14. Yeh, I thought that was good then remembered I had the waza air bass!
  15. Not really out of stock, just not in stock yet as they haven't got production up I suppose I would in certain gigs, going through an amp - its very cheap and noisy sounding, but in a gig situation I doubt you would notice.
  16. I have a mvave (not the one listed) and it is not something I would use live in any situation- this I probably would
  17. A non zero amount of people will buy it because of that, obviously the majority doesn't care, but when you are trying to hawk a different coloured fender jazz, you need some reason for people to buy it. Some companies do signature basses that are unlike any other one available (and not just the colour) and those can be interesting
  18. are there no UK distributers - like Bass Direct or someone?
  19. Its because they can't be competing with their suppliers, and if they have an RRP they have to use it. And setup? That would be like implying they weren't setup fantastically out of the box!
  20. Is the price not dependant on the company of the payment methods conversion rate when purchased?
  21. It is - although it does clarify more - I must admit I forgot when I ordered my FI, i forgot about the vat so it was a bit of a surprise. It is worth reminding people but obviously isn't pandas fault.
  22. My wifes shop was not making enough to be registered for vat, and pre-brexit had a lot of customers in the EU (about 25% of her business was that), but would have had to pay vat after that. Never did though as post brexit the workload involved to sell into the EU was to great for her to do as well as the rest of the shop so she lost that market to a larger EU shop that was her competitor.
  23. Oh yes, that was on our list to learn.
  24. Somehow don't think he is putting the effort in:
  25. Quite tempted to get one as a useful one off pedal. But that might because my multifx is away at the moment still
