Some VERY good news at last - live music back by the Spring?
Woodinblack replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
Amsterdam was built on 'that stuff'. I read something about trying to redirect tourism a bit to manage their numbers. It is crazy the amount of people there last time I went compared to first time (which would have been in the 70s). They could do with spreading their tourism around the Netherlands - there is quite a lot of the rest of the country. -

And I think you are missing the fact that both are things that should be run by one of the many millions of people who could easily run it, but when it becomes a political issue, the. It tends to be run by a politician who has different goals and lower abilities in the actual task. as for the vaccine role out, yes, the faster the better but if it turns out we are actually throwing away the Pfizer vaccine for political points scoring so that we can be faster than others then many people are going to be pretty unhappy and your may gig will be in doubt. -
Seems very different to me. Genesis doing it originally is because that is how it occured to them to do it. MB doing it is trying to replicate how it occured to someone else to do it, and make the best copy they can. Steve Hackett is trying to make his music sound as good as he can make it because he enjoys doing it.

I hope you aren't referring to the 'employed entirely down to her merits at overseeing the biggest data breach at talk talk but ultimately wife of tory minister so it doesn't matter' Dido harding? She isn't the head, she is just on the board. They have a new head as the old one had to stand down. -

Agreed - I don't care if we beat the world or if we are so f'ing special compared to all other countries, I care about the results. The results are currently we are behind everyone, so we clearly are f'ing special. What is important that we do the thing that helps us get out of this, and not care what it looks like -

I find the idea of pre marking a time as when things can open up again rather stupid. Stuff should open up when it is safe to open up, not at some prefixed date of when things should open up. We have had a much harder time of it than pretty well all other countries. Just do the hard thing now so we don't have to keep dragging it out -
I must admit I have no feelings either way on him with Hackett, although I did like the guy with the suit before. I liked him with Steve Wilson, but that is obviously a different style of drumming.

Not a fan of the album really, just never gelled apart from a couple of tracks. Most are the other way round. Which drummer, Craig Blundell? Yes, I was happy to see them but wouldn't really bother again, I assume it would be identical if I did, whereas happy to go back to hackett. I am not that familiar with his solo stuff, although most of the gigs were the genesis album he was doing. I am also not a fan of Nad Sylvans vocals (although better heard than seen!), but I can ride over that when the music kicks in. I think I can tolerate that better than Phil Collins singing badly

I saw the musical box the year before. They seemed good at what they were doing but more like a stage play than a group to me, so didn't enjoy it as much. Saw Hackett do a couple of the albums now, next one is seconds out so might skip that

If you like up to the older stuff, get down to see Steve Hacket, been very impressed with his shows (and a lot less than £136!)

So it was them that actually bought the Taurus 3 then

I agree - seemed crazy to me. Don't go to pubs.. oh now go to pubs and we will give you some money to do it. Looking at the figures, yes, schools opening was bad but it was going up before that. -

And it worked pretty well, but only because they also had a test and trace that was run by people who were qualified to do it, rather than someones hunting buddy Without getting into your WHO sycophants conspiracy theory, by the time people suggested stopping flights from China, the virus was already everywhere. -
Having an involvement in running an online shop, you would be amazed what people don't read and then ask you about, even when they have had to go past pages saying it. also seeing something that says 'ex vat' is a) something people have never really needed to deal with before as everything had to include vat (unlike buying in the states for instance), and b) not something to lead you to assume that you would be charged £82 on a £200 order

I have had a few NT ibanezes, in fact I still have a NT ibanez SR (the SR1000)

As she probably has no interest on what is on the news, seeing as her whole life she has been able to treat things in the EU the same as here, why should she be aware of import duty and vat? This is all new to a lot of people. Honestly ask 100 people in the street what the rules are from getting something from the EU and I would be incredibly impressed if more than 5 people know. Its one of those things that is so clear it needs a government minister to say 'we have been perfectly clear' about.

Nissan? Or wait a year then pretty well anything

I was seduced by the bling of the 1605. And still am!

Hardly seems surprising. Mind you, also puzzled about the bankrupcy as it is a farm which should be pretty sustainable as a going concern without glastonbury, and without the venue he doesn't have the expenses. I am sure his fox and badger killing mates can help him out with a few quid anyway, not like he hasn't given them enough.

I would be interested in those too. I don't mind the plastic ones, but my shuker which is next to me has those knobs and I do like them. Where are they from? Oh scratch that, the ones on https://www.east-uk.com/product/knobs-dual/ - ordered!
-
The point is you shouldnt' need a separate 3 year warantee unless it covers accidental damage.
-
Guess it is going to be like ordering from the states - sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't. Maybe they are overwhelmed at the moment!
