Now, some of these are wrong; Well, this isn't entirely untrue, if you look at it like black spots on the sun. They are cold spots, and by cold, it means unbelievably hot, but not quite as hot as the stuff around it. The surface of a fire has more oxygen, so the centre probably is cold in comparison. Just don't put your hand on it. Or she saw the partial silhoette of a gun round corner. Or she googled 'silhoette of a gun', in which case that would have been true. Oh that is one of my wife main beefs with people. 4 AM in the morning, 25kg in weight, the colour yellow etc. It doesn't say that the thugs had been travelling by tube, they may have just gone there to look at the poster, and got him while they were there. If you see enough of the sweeny it would be apparent that they would have had a bedford van around the corner. Probably in green. And I have been at a tube station at midnight which was still functional, in case of any doubts on that part. Maybe they had just been to hamersmith odeon to see Boney M and were on their way back? Almost certainly the tube would be open then.

Nah, that is just the reflection of the skirting board Not sure what the stain thing is. I haven't kept up. Looks fine straight on, which is the only way I tend to use mine. That is almost the same spec as my main mac, except mine is an i7 with 512g. I have no reason to upgrade it, it does everything really well. Although my battery is getting a bit poor now, will have to replace that soon,.

I think that depends on if you are the provider or recipient of said kick?

Vanessa Williams. Here song 'save the best for last' is one of the few that really annoyed me. " Sometimes the snow comes down in June Sometimes the sun goes 'round the moon ". First part, no problem, its possible, second part? I think not, stick to beauty pagenting.

Last time I saw him play, which was a couple of years ago, he played a P bass. He also played a semi acoustic bass maybe a guild or something? Seemed a bit pointless, at the volume he was playing it sounded the same. There were no rick like basses for any of the jam stuff.

He must feel really stupid then as he mainly uses a P bass

Well, true, but that wasn't a unique to him fashion statement at the time!

My local music shop "travel bass"

Very similar to that last one. No, I couldn't find one anywhere. I still don't see how it helps with travel, as it is the same size as an ordinary bass. I mean compared to my hohner it is huge! -

Yeh, like I said my local music shop. They are clearing out stuff so they can get people in there. It is a very small shop. -
Think it probably depends on the bassist!

UPDATE! Bax Music - anyone have any good experience with them?

And I got a callback from them this morning. They have a notification that it was in the system on the 21st from hermes but they haven't recieved it yet. Which I can fully believe from my wifes current dealings with hermes (and why I was concerned it going with hermes at the moment). So they are going to investigate and get back to me. So that is fine at the moment, I only wanted an update -
Same here. I went to send a bass last week, filled it all out and then said they would pick it up on the following monday. It was wednesday. So I went for overland express, which was slightly cheaper, insured for musical instruments up to £1k and picked up on friday.

I have played all right now with a checked iceman. And gibson 5 string, and a spalted poplar SR, and a wenge SR, and a blueburst SR and.. ie, its on our setlist and it gets played with whatever is to hand! Probably even played it with an 8 string and I would turn on my fret lights if I had any!

Yeh, not seeing the point entirely as it has a full length neck and a headstock, so it isn't very short! Keep thinking 'oh its only £100' and then 'what the hell would you want that for when you are trying to cut down!' -
Yeh, there is a bit here, probably not for long!

Woodinblack replied to Carl G's topic in General Discussion
I will wait for the callback, I am not in a tearing hurry, its the weekend and all, so they have monday, but if we get to tuesday and they haven't called me, I will ring again and be a bit more forceful -
Not sure how it is a travel bass but anyone seen something like this? Headstock looks old Ibanez style doesn't even look like it is electrical - think I might ask for 100!

The balance is just there on the assumption that you have more than one pickup, if you don't it doesn't matter, it isn't really part of the circuit. As Paul_s says, just connect your pickup to where the balance goes. On the artec it is obvious which pin is grounded on the board (i have put it in a few basses), not that it really matters either way, it is jut a convention.

I know hermes are falling apart a bit, so maybe it is that., I would be happy if they just said they had it or something. Even if I knew something was happening it would be a bonus. At the moment they aren't winning me as a friend! -
Don't have a set, I just got the one when they were on sale from bestbassgear.

Still waiting for any kind of response from bax, but at least I got a response from ibanez, which i was quite surprised about. They said: Wow. This looks really bad on the images. I will forward this on to our European network. Simply put – it shouldn’t happen. I’m not sure what has gone wrong here, possibly transit shock or something else entirely, hard to know without inspection – we have not seen any reports of anything like this in the UK. Keep me updated on how BAX are sorting you out – make sure everything goes smoothly for you whatever you decide to do. If you run into any difficulty at all please let me know.
