  1. I have 3 Ibanez SRs 5 strings, 2 with the same pickups. I know which is which from the recorded sound. Even live I can tell them apart
  2. "Are we ready for a soundcheck yet"
  3. Yeh, thats the big split. It is quite a difference if I sit in my room with the 1505 compared to all the premiums, they pick up a lot more noise. Also if I am gigging, I can't get near the valve amp with the SRs with the big singles.
  4. Well, if they are, you can save yourself a few quid by buying them in packs of 5 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402063926930
  5. Well, the big single also suffers from single coil hum, being a single coil. What doesnt though is the big split, which looks identical (and sounds pretty similar).
  6. When you find out, let us know, as I seem to have.. err.. gained one recently!
  7. Isnt that one the Beegees? The older one? (the one on the left that is).
  8. Only in hard cases though, so not much use to me in anything I have sent, selling a low value bass would involve me buying a hard case and then paying extra to send it, making it not worth selling.
  9. Yep, going through their albums on apple music
  10. Hmm.. not another band doing rush covers.. goes to look.. blink.. subscribe..
  11. I have used them 4 times now. Once I had a problem that DPD didn't turn up the day they were supposed to be, and there was another problem, but it did get sorted, the rest of the time it has been sorted ok. Yes, the discount is a lot less than 10%, but even with that, they seem one of the few people you can insure musical instruments with if you don't have a hard case and want it insured.
  12. There is enough for everyone to see, its the people that make the event!
  13. You are right. Although they are on your post! @scrumpymike - it might be worth linking the event that is rescheduled on the first page for this
  14. It does place him in the wrong, but it is hearsay. I am currently going through it with eBay and although they can see that I am right in what I say, there isn't anything they can do about it as rules are rules
  15. I don't see there is much you can do - depends on him obviously, but if he says you never gave it to him, he is entitled to his money back. You have no proof he has it, as you didn't ship it.
  16. The Memorial Hall TA2 8JY just outside Cheddon Fitzpaine village - Three posts up ^ Full details how to find it on the first page.
  17. Used to do the ataris version in a previous group. I do like both of them.
  18. The only downside of bypassing a digital effect to blend in clean is that it is not doing exactly the same as a blend would do on an analogue pedal, in that the digital signal that is distorted will be delayed WRT to the analogue signal, so you are effectively phasing as well.
  19. Not sure what you mean - there is no logical reason why you cant blend around on a zoom pedal any more than a helix, it is just addition. Its just a choice not to.
  20. Bit of a commute though, especially when we have to quarantine when we get back. Although as I am working from home I guess it doesn't matter where the home is!
  21. At £6 if they are bad they still have to be ok for tying up things in the garden!
  22. I saw that in mansons, very interesting looking instrument! GLWS
  23. Mine was 1) the Ibanez EHB1505ms, which I have (and love) 2) an ibanez Ashula, although I have no idea why 3) a squier classic vibe mustang. Both of those last two have come up pretty cheap on here recently and i have failed to get them, but TBH, I do have way too many basses, especially if there aren't going to be any gigs in the immediate future. But then I am swayed by so much. A rickenbacker 4003/5, although I haven't really got on with rics and they are too expensive, A shuker 5 string, a spector lx, even though I didn't get on with the last spector, another jazz although I have a jazz I don't play. I think I really need to get rid of some things before I get new stuff in, or at least use more of the stuff I have.
  24. I get that, but to be fair, I get that at a live gig too!
  25. Yep, exactly what I meant when I said Lloyds have been using those songs for ages to show how they care and its all about community. But I think it more demonstrates how they are there to strip the soul out of something! Obviously it isn't just them, other banks / building societies / large corporates have been using these songs for a while in adverts, and I assume some people like these things. Speaking as someone who plays in a cover band, and who does a lot of ska covers of other songs, I have no objection to a cover that brings something new to the party, but not just something that strips everything out and leaves nothing.
