  1. Meh, your not missing much
  2. Slightly more attractive than tort, but not much.
  3. Plenty in sainsburies
  4. I agree, the angle of those machineheads is horrible!
  5. Oh I don't know, if you were wearing a weighlifter belt and you wanted to play bass but were concerned that people didn't know you were a weightlifter, that bridge helps! Although it has to be said, I do like the pickups and at least the controls look like someone has given them more though than a fodera. I also suspect you can open the right sized jars with that bottom horn
  6. They could do but it is probably not worth their time dealing with people who couldn't read. My NS Stick does have active EMGs in it, although that is probably because they are telecater pickups originally.
  7. In that case there would be nothing wrong with it!
  8. Its clearly made of cardboard!
  9. Funny, most of these I have hated at some time, although to be fair, there are a few that I still dislike (orangey browny red sunburst and tort, especially but not exclusively together). But some things, singlecuts, I hated them, then saw one I liked and after that sort of liked it, bongo shape, hated it then after a while of looking decided I actually liked it. So there are very few absolutely no ways any more, just a lot of 'not nows'. Outside Foderas (and ebay customs), there are very few actually completely ugly basses, and at least they are different, so someone can love them.
  10. Photobooth is a program for making little videos for the kids and stuff, it doesn't have any options because it is supposed to be basic, so it uses the system settings. Having said that, the audio / midi application is only for setting levels and options etc, if you want the default input to be a different source you need to change it in sound -> input in the sound system preference panel.
  11. Mine is ash with an ebony neck and flamed maple neck and matching headstock body, with ultralight tuners and haussel and nordstrand pickups. But it also has a much narrower neck than most (it has an ibanez neck profile), the marcus miller neck would be massive compared to mine. It is really light but well balanced.
  12. I would say try it first and saw which you prefer. Maruszcyks can be heavily customised by the person who bought it, so there is no 'standard' I live my elwood, but some peoples elwoods would be unplayable to me.
  13. No, just that they don't do plain dots on the more expensive models!
  14. All of mine are premiers or premiums, so they don't have the plain dots, they either have one big round oval and two small dots, right under the strings, or dots on one side, which means they are aligned between the lowest two strings
  15. Yes, I just checked, you do need additional power. Also something like a Zoom B3 (not N) can work as an interface by the same means.
  16. Well, I put the string (that was on it) back on it, and it all seems fine and plays ok. Does worry me though. Maybe it was just never in properly and finally fell out, although as I mentioned it had done quite a few gigs. I did do up all those screws at the front as the were all loose, and that probably isn't good anyway.
  17. I am a great fan of the behringer U-PHORIA interfaces, they do models from about £30 up depending on how many ports you want, and they are class compliant USB, so they don't need drivers or anything, as long as you have a USB for your iPad / phone (which are cheap to get, like the apple one). Any specific interface for the phone relies on them supporting it, like the line 6. Incidently the sonic port does still work on the previous OS, so if you get an older ipad that is not upgraded, it is still fine. I have two iPads, my normal one and an older air that I gig with. My normal one (an iPad Pro 10.5) is up to date and the sonic port doesn't work, but my gigging one I don't upgrade, and the sonic port works fine on that.
  18. I was sitting watching some movie yesterday, everyone else asleep, and all of a sudden there was a loud 'clonk' from the corner. Looking round to see what had happened, I noticed that my number 1 bass had a string missing, so I assume it had broken, which was weird. Looking this morning, I found the string and both ends are intact, so I guess it just 'fell off'. This is not something i have had before in over 10 years of having SRs. Anyone ever had this? I guess it must have been not in right but I have done a number of gigs since I last changed the strings.
  19. Not tonight, would have had a private party tomorrow, that would have been pretty good.
  20. hahah - I get that the other way round - 'but it only has 4 strings, you are not going to play that'
  21. If I am getting you right, that the effect is before logic pro, then there is no way that logic can strip the effect from the signal, because it never had the signal without the effect, so something is not going in right. Unless you mean the effect is within pro? Every time I record into logic I just record dry and put the effects in within logic. It gives you more flexibility, as long as you have the effect you need (but then I have helix native, so not short of one there).
  22. Oh go on, you know you are all stuck in the house, might as well pretend you are in front of a giant stack
  23. Lovely looking bass. If I didn't already have my glut of 5 string SRs I would be looking for something like that. But as it is, I am not short of a couple!
  24. Well, get a banjo then!
  25. Online delivery still available!
