  1. Yeh, that seems quite a drop off for less than a quarter of the price of the 18.
  2. You have to raise a support request to change your email
  3. The output impedance and level of a headphone output is very different from an Aux output. For me the price difference between the CQ12 and 18 doesn't seem enough. I mean they are too expensive for me (which is a shame, that 18 does look nice, but the x18 is still working fine at every gig) but if I had the money for the 12, I think I would push it up to the 18.
  4. Hey if he is going to put a duvet cover on himself for a tenner, imagine what he would do for £20!
  5. How do you come to that conclusion? Seems the least likely reason. It says on the specs quite clearly it does. The only thing it is missing from the others is the wireless. the CQ12T - the mixer of the beast!
  6. Yeh, would be ok if they did it in a 5 / 15!
  7. The Gibson EB3 I had sounded just like a thunderbird, which isn't really surprising as it had the thunderbird pickups in the thunderbird position.
  8. Certainly would be innovative
  9. Sound great - they seem to be priceless on their store though!
  10. Sounds good - what are the pickups? I still keep wanting multicoil pickups but never getting round to it!
  11. What are the multicoil pickups like?
  12. No, the tone is very different (between mine anyway), but the same person playing two basses sounds pretty similar overall.
  13. I own twp prestiges and 1 premium (down from 3 premiums) and no standard ranges (again, had quite a few). Well, firstly, yes there is a difference, but not night and day difference. The woods are better, the pickups are better and they are (or can be) nicer made, or more consistently made. However, I play my 1605 more than my 5005 (and more than my 1000, but that is because it is a 4 string) because it is a lot lighter. Absolutely guarantee you will sound pretty much the same on both.
  14. Well, there is the fender Katana as well in the 1980s
  15. Not a fan of NR thunderbirds but that bottom one looks ok!
  16. Well, don't get your hopes up that they will do anything too radical! Indeed, looks good. Wouldn't kill them to throw a bass in there occasionaly would it? I know they don't really bother with basses, but the last actual gibson bass I had played really well, even if it was gut wrenchingly ugly! (EB5)*. * I didn't dump it because of the uglyness, it was the string spacing, I can't do 19mm string spacing on a 5.
  17. As I mentioned on one of the companies that posted that picture, I am guessing the innovation is the same guitars in a slightly different colour, and with another confusing label that people will have to explain where it fits in the range.
  18. I bought some off ebay the other day. They are going back today because they are fakes, but very good fakes. I am imporessed that someone went to that much trrouble to fake something so well, but still miss the last few details!
  19. Can bring a EUB if someone wants me to
  20. Mine is happy with hangers but there are limits what can go on there, some instruments are too ugly to go there!
  21. They can just play outside, its a long way from the road so it should be safe. !
  22. I have a red firey glow under mine, got them when I got my pedalboard, https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_spaceship_pedalboard_red_led.htm
  23. Is that a joke vocal line or real? <goes to youtube to listen to a 2024 janes adiiction live> oh
  24. There are many issues with talkbass, but not the ones involving logging on or getting to the site!
