Boss SY300 synthesiser, in almost unused condition, ie, its never been out of the house and I have played around with it a couple of times. Its a great sounding thing and seems very versatile, just not that much use to me for what I am doing at the moment Can be picked up here or delivered within 50 miles, Bath / Bristol / Exeter etc. Can post for cost if you want Dropped to £220 as I really can't see me using this

Reduced to £300 The not to common AGB205 DVS* which is Ibanezes discontinued 5 string short scale semi acoustic bass, I believe they still do the 4 string, but the 5 strings are uncommon. Good condition, semi acoustic with 2 pickups that look like humbuckers but I dont think they are. Quite bass heavy plugged in, not that loud unplugged but fine for jamming in the room plugged in which is what I got it for. But I am not gigging this and tend to jam with headphones in the room now, so it is not getting used so time to move it on Can be picked up from here, or can meet up within a 50 or so mile region of here, so Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Basingstoke areas. Not so keen on posting as I don't have a hard case for it and it is a bit.. well.. hollow * which stands for deep violin and gold. Not sure how that matches, but there you go, ibanez letters are always a bit random.

Continuing my clearout of basses I don't often play. I have gigged this, and it sounds fine, but I find the neck a bit big, its more like a stingray, quite wide, especially for an ibanez. As a result I don't often take it out. In good condition, just a couple of black marks on the neck, maybe they will clean out, I rubbed them and they didn't Haven't done any mods on this, other than fixes on the wiring when it came. Many people put copper foil in the cavities to reduce noise - the rear pickup is sensitive to noise, but only if not used with the P pickup, and it is so far near the bridge it is very trebly so its not not something I did, not that I had a problem with noise gigging. Very solid, good working bass. Can meet up anywhere near Yeovil or all the way out to Bath / Bristol / Exeter / Bournemouth area

These classic vibe mustangs are truly great basses but sadly as much as I enjoy playing it, it has too few strings for me, so its sitting collecting dust and as I am not gigging it (I gigged it once, sounded great until I couldn't find the B string!) it has to move on to someone else. Obviously you can pick it up and try it, or can meet anywhere in in the range of 50 miles or so, one of the great cities of the south West (Bristol, bath, Exeter, Bournemoth - other cities maybe not as great). I can probably look into posting if you really want

Your back is that strong?

Well, I hope that your mam is ok and all get sorted out, then later you can check it out. Having said that, i just took it to a gig (not my mum) to test it out.

It is a tricky guitar line as it is a lot of notes where the frets are very close. Best not tried on a Les Paul!

Last night I decided to learn Protege Moi on the chapman stick because I haven't used it that much recently, so if I learn something I can play at an open mic or something, it kind of forces my hand!

Midi through takes what goes to the in and puts it out the through. So no, unless you are sending it note on midi messages

If only there was a way to get a Model D on the forum huh? Same here - I would get one straight away. No idea why, but I would.

The problem with the mezzos is that the width of the neck hasn't changed, so your issue wouldn't be any different.
-
Not as the moment, it would be a lot of work and noone has ever asked about it that I am aware of. As a background task I might look into the feasibility of it, but as a high risk, high effort and low reward task, I certainly wouldn't provide any promises on it.

Bass volume affects it. Generally on an amp, any preamp volume will affect it, but not master volume

There is a lot of that on old posts yes, from where we had changes a long time ago, but there shuldn't be any new stuff like that

I was using various models, they all sounded pretty good (but different obviously). Well, I can do that on the X18 but I have never bothered, quite happy to hear it flat (which isn 't the same as is going to the FoH as that has EQ on it that my feed doesn't).

That was my initial impression, but I did gigs the last two saturdays with them and on those gigs, specifically the last gig, my in ear sound was the best I have had. In fact it was the best on stage sound I have had full stop and as a result I felt I played better because I was so into the sound I was getting. Obviously on the other threads as I said, the ME90b was also new which helped the sound it was making, but the sound in my ears was just really good, very full and much more rounded than I had before and some part of that has to be the earphones.

Well, the synth glitches!

Also this might have something to do with how low you are wearing the bass - the lower it is the harder to get your hand round. But as a primary ibanez player, it is probably the depth of the neck rather than the width. i mean I can't deal with wide necks but I do play 5 strings, so there is more width required there (but I dont' go above 17.5mm spacing if I can help it). Ibanez do have narrow string spacing in most of the basses, but there is a limit to how narrow it goes. I would say I have never had my hand hard against the bottom of the neck. I don't have big hands either but not sure how you can move your hand smoothly if you are doing that, maybe this is a technique thing rather than a string spacing thing. In fact now I check, I don't touch the bottom of the neck when I am playing the E (or even B).

my Maruszczyk Elwood L24 - at the moment gigs tend to rotate between this and the bongo

I assume so - I suspect they were just a copy paste with some restrictions created by the user interface. I suspect the GT1000 core has a lot of options that the ME90b lacks, which is probably kind of the point. Apart from bass amp models, I see a lot of people on the internet hoping that the GT1000 will get the bass models from the ME90b in some update at some point. Maybe there are other options if I connected it to a computer - I might do that at some point to see what is there, but I can't really imagine working with it in that way in general. There do seem to be some effects that you can change out for others, there seems to be better options for the ring modulator, which I can never imagine using

Gig without our new keyboard player, first gig in 4 or 5 without him so a good chance to see what he adds / removes from the band. Local pub thats very long and thin so quite a way from the people. I had a nightmare the last gig, the sound was all wrong, couldn't get a sound I liked on the bass, people were complaining about the singers being not loud enough etc, and hated it so I was all for not hating it this time (reminding myself I do this for my own enjoyment). There is a lot of space so setup was easy and I didn't stress anything. Plugged it in and it instantly sounded all good - I had put new strings on the bass, and polished the frets, as well as having the new ME90B, I was in love with the bass sound. The crowd wasn't large but they had a lot of feedback, with responses between songs and dancing once they got drunk enough. Some songs (billie jean etc) really missed the keyboard, and a couple of songs we didn't bother with because they were keyboard heavy, but we also brought some songs back we hadn't played for a while that were keyboard-less and it was nice to do them. It is true to say that noticably in some songs, the keys weren't tramping on the bass, or fighting with the guitar for space, I guess we just have to work out how to arrange those songs. Anyway, very enjoyable gig, and also with 4 instead of 5 on a well paying gig, more money!

it does - I didn't mind the jamman as I wouldn't expect to have that in a multieffects. Maybe I didn't give it a chance, I heard a review where it sounded good, I will give it another spin in case I missed it. oh I forgot to say, although at the gig I used it on power as it was on my pedal board, being able to run it on batteries is great too
