  1. Oh yes, just a hex inverter. It will sound pretty dirty and glitchy, so maybe it is working (its a logic circuit effectively rather than an amplifier). It should probably sound a bit like this:
  2. The rag and cd cover is just covering a name, but take no notice as it has no name? hmm.
  3. Oh loving the back of that
  4. Has a good (lack of) fret access - I think that beats the SR705 for its 30th fret access! * Think it looks rather good, if I wanted a fretless * By my dodgy screen measuring calcuations, that would give you access to 35 frets, or almost 3 octaves, although I am guessing intonation might be a bit tricky there!
  5. So in bypass is it exactly the same as the sound of the guitar? hard to tell if the description of the effect sounds like it’s broken or supposed to sound like that!
  6. Well, if it has a passive bypass switch, which if it has a 3PDT switch it sounds like it has, then at a minimum, regardless of power or anything else, you should be able to connect a bass at one end, an amp at the other and with it set to bypass it should pass straight though - if it doesn't do that then at least you know it is the wiring rather than the circuit.
  7. Well, if the LEDs come on, so it has power, it sounds like some problem in the output wiring (as you would hear a click or something when power turned up), or if it has a passive bypass switch, a problem with your switch wiring. I would buzz that all out and check it was as you expected
  8. Do you hear anything out of the output, even a click when it is engaged?
  9. Yes, I just wondered what was needed on there. Still, not really a good advert for the Scott Devine Overwater bass, I don't think I have seen him play that for years!
  10. Is that the only bridge they do these days? I liked the bridge in the EB5 2013 I had, other than the strings were too far apart, it was certainly well made.
  11. I wondered that on Scott Devines new bass: Just seemed a bit crowded. Actually now I look at it, almost as random as the Markbass
  12. True, which is why I was impressed with fender doing so. I guess it is different for valves, it is pretty easy to work out the circuit anyway
  13. Well, hard to say really, the internet is a very public place! But also it depends on the term friends, I would say in general none of them as I don't have out with any of them outside the band but it doesn't mean I don't necessarily like them.
  14. Well, the zoom does all the other effects that the rest of them don't do.
  15. Noticed this in bass players market, probably best to get it out there in case
  16. I had forgotten about bumping for a while, someone did say they would come round and look on sunday, but if I had a £1 for every time I heard that...!
  17. Noone doing 80s rock any more?
  18. I had forgotten about bumping for a while, so bump!
  19. I had forgotten about bumping for a while!
  20. Well, I am never going to look that good so there is no point trying!
  21. I said happy, not a Childs TV presenter (or in our case, the singer), I occasionally manage a look of quiet contentment, or sometimes even amusement - no-one wants a smiling bass player, it unnerves them.
  22. I resent that - I am not even slight unhappy!
  23. Oh come on, there is Cycling, Brexit and religion, ok, but Jazz? Some people have just got to go that bit too far!
  24. Its the way you tell them
