  1. There are fewer places around then there used to be, but the only reason our gigs are down is peoples lives getting in the way, and we rarely travel more than 20 minutes and that is in a town of less than 50k people.
  2. Underrated. Behringer. Originally - oh that is just a poor quality cheap copy of a boss etc. Democratised great digital mixers to small bands, to the point where they are the things that new expensive things are compared to. Long dead synths that their original manufacturers didn't want to bring back at prices people can afford. And cheap copies of boss effects that work.
  3. When we did a speaker shootout at the last southwest bass bash, the MB cab was the most coloured cab that we found - it was the only one that was really noticably a long way from flat.
  4. Power is shared between cabs, if they are the same load, so two 250w 8r cabs work as a 500w 4r cab together. I gig either a BC 300w 12" 9r cab, or 2 250W 12" TC cabs (used to use 1 for practice 1 for live) with a ABM600. So the amp has a higher rating than the 2 cabs, but thats ok, it never gets turned up full. On your list, cab option B is most certainly better than A.
  5. Yeh, but it is like a different company now
  6. I would say as a roli owner that is good to know, but they have gone down the tubes since then!
  7. you think after all this time Dave Brock would be better with a microphone! Seen hawkwind probably more than any other group, but not in the last 30 years
  8. I think this is wrong. If this is an early 1205, those are the right switches. I have a 1605 from the first run of these, it has the same switches and the mid control is only two way. The spade shaped 3 way switches came later (I have some that came later with those). These are the right switches for the age. And yes, mad not to for that price, if I didn't already have too many I would go for that!
  9. Was this in Foghertys? I have never been there (only once been to liverpool), but a friend of mine used to always play there so it looks familiar
  10. Local pub for us last night. Heaving when we got there due to some football, but emptied out shortly after, always good ego boost. Anyway, easy setup, lots of space, but very warm. We added a load of new songs or songs that we remembered to bring back from pre-pandemic. First half not many people but some of our regular crowd. There were a lot of groups in town last night, so didn't expect too much. Second half a lot more activity and obviously when we got to 3 songs before the end everyone was up dancing and wanting more songs when we stopped - we would have done them too but our guitarist decided he had to get home earlier. Was definitely glad to get some air afterwards as it was so hot - we got another gig out of it in a new venue though, so must have been ok. Security guard was funny afterwards, I went out and he said 'oh have you finished now?', 'yes', 'oh thank f*** for that.. oh hang on, didn't mean it like that I just meant that now everyone would clear out, you are the best we have had in here in ages!' Can't believe how hot it was though!
  11. I have gigged with 100W all valve watts and some places they are loud enough, and some places they aren't if you want clean.
  12. My Spark 40 amp broke at the beginning of september. It is what sits by my chair and I use for most practice with headphones, I find it very useful so was a bit sad without it. Seemed the effects and the music playback worked but no input. However, it was over 3 years since I bought it so what can you do - I contacted postitive grid to see if I could get it repaired, they asked for a video of what it was doing and on reciept of that they asked me to send it in, while not telling me how much it would be, so I sent it in. Today a completely new amp turned up as a replacement - pretty impressed with that level of service!
  13. I would say 100W amp is fine in a lot of places, until you find somewhere where it isn't, but then there is no where you can go and you can't turn up more. I gigged with a 250 TC combo for a while in a not that loud trio, but wouldn't really want to go out with less than that. I did gig for a bit with 100W valve amp, and it was fine in that it was always loud enough, but not if you wanted clean at high volume.
  14. Indeed - the app is an example of how people should write synth apps.
  15. The last paragraph is very specific - "For the last 10 years I have used A waterstone bass live every night on the number one hit START" I saw from the jam in 2015, I took photos, sure enough he is playing a waterstone semi acoustic bass on start - its white.
  16. Ooh - its a long time until the second week of July!
  17. I have an Opal router too, works well and I got mine much cheaper from a non amazon site (there isn't another option for me). Handy that it can run of USB, and frankly, so little power that you can connect it to anything that has a bus powered USB, such as the XTouch.
  18. No, because what I said at the time was factual. I haven't had any additional involvement in the cookie stuff and I don't really have any dealings with Ezoics, or trust them. But it clearly doesn't work like this. But maybe it is in some way my fault for not having any actual involvement with the cookies being in as I stay out of finances and stuff. I am just here to fix stuff that goes wrong with the actual server.
  19. Clearly not - where do you think you are, somerset?.. oh hang on..
  20. Can you edit the title to put sold in it then please
  21. If you mean the install basschat - that is the thing that Ped did about 6 months ago so that you could put basschat on a desktop icon - it has nothing to do with this current stuff.
  22. Firefox has a facebook container option, which opens facebook in its own sandbox so it can't get to anything else.
