True, less pisting is good.

Which companies are dead to you?

I try to avoid using a phone (not just these days, for quite a long time), but I certainly wouldn't use JustEat - its really expensive! -
Neither watermarking or using a post-it show you own the bass. It is about not having your images taken and used somewhere else. The trust needs to come from somewhere else
-
But it is hard to unwatermark a photo that is watermarked

thanks very much for the offer but the strap connections have gone as well, so I think it has had its day!

Having tried both a PJB Bass Cub and BAM200 (and by definition also an elf as the stats are the same) running into a 10" speaker, the PJB isn't even in the same ballpark volume wise. I wouldn't have a concern playing with a band in a pub with a Bam and my 10" Gnome cab, which is what I did a few weeks back (although I have PA backup if it wasn't enough). I wouldn't use the PJB in a band situation, maybe an acoustic duo without a drummer.

Ah - I didn't scroll that far back and just clicked on the reply to your original link. But no, that link "is not available at the moment'
-
Do you have a link for that?

The very definition of "on-stage brawl"

Guessing if you have a ticket for a gig on a later night it might be worth seeing if the hotel does cancellations? -
yeh, I couldn't see that

There is fast, then there is... saturday.mov Quick, go and purge those thoughts!

I was going to say I play it the way I originally did it by watching @TJH3113 on YouTube, but seems I have more notes than that now!
-
Undoubtedly, if it feels a little too slow it is probably right, last time we played it it went stupidly fast!
-
Much deeper than when I am playing it as I am an octave higher than that at that point (and ours is way faster!)

Well, by a day I meant 24 hours, which has occured now, but hadn't at the time of your post. However, I don't see any failed in logins, and you are here posting, so are you sure the username is correct on the other device?

I have never had to use the VPN since, it was just the first time sign on for that machine, now it all works fine

My bag has finally almost died with the zips, had it for many years. Does the TGI bag have room for an iPad? Ideally I want a bag that can hold a bass, an iPad, two wireless adapters, a spare battery, a multitool and an iPad holder (which is actually quite flat. What sounds best for that?

Timeouts are only for a short while so just wait and they will time out in an hour or so

How do you keep track of everything you've owned?
Woodinblack replied to BassAgent's topic in Bass Guitars
My spreadsheet decided to not go to other instruments, apart from the chapman stick. I mean the keyboards don't have consumables, neither do the EWIs and the guitars, well the only one that has a non rechargable battery is the only one I have changed the strings on in a decade so no point writing those down or I would have to face up to the fact I have lots of guitars that I don't play! -
Tried listening to The Stranglers today....
Woodinblack replied to Beedster's topic in General Discussion
I had gone down to see them at portsmouth guildhall in 83, my friends had said 'oh they are a bit like genesis', and I liked genesis so it sounded fine. They were nothing like genesis but I really enjoyed the gig, and still love script for a jesters tear. -

I remember Sabbath, that was funny, I particularly liked their smoke on the water! Actually I say I remember none of it, I actually remember quite a lot, but maybe the music specifically wasn't important. I remember leaving without a girlfriend and getting back with one. I remember watching a guy a few tents away from us watching his bike go up in flames, then him spending the entire weekend rewiring it. I remember spending the last few hours in reading at the new Thames Valley police office, waiting to identify our stuff that was nicked from our tent and I remember the heat and parched land. But the bands, yes I saw quite a few of them, but I was never really one for listening to bands! -

ok, so now it is almost 6 months since I sent it to them to be fixed, and when I have contacted them (or when I posted here) they have said they are waiting for a jack plug. So I wrote tonight to ask them to just send it back, I will fix it myself, clearly they aren't going to do it. Literally have never had such little service from any company. Even bax were better than that (twice). Going to go and unsubscribe from the lists so I don't fall for it again!

How do you keep track of everything you've owned?
Woodinblack replied to BassAgent's topic in Bass Guitars
As someone who didn't at the start of the thread and now keeps track of some things, it occured to me that having something where I can make a note of when I changed the strings or the battery on a bass is actually valuable, because it answered a problem I had thinking when I had last changed a battery in a bass or which strings I liked - the strings on the bongo sound better than the strings on the ibanez - is that because of the instruments themselves, or is it that one of them is NYXL and one of them is the coated markbass, I think it is but I can't remember which one had which strings. One of the basses also had GHS Boomers on them which I was given, which one was that, and how do they stack up? Its not everything, the other stuff like keyboards I don't need to keep track of, I can see them, and they are insured -
Any love for the Yamaha Reface range?
Woodinblack replied to Jean-Luc Pickguard's topic in Other Instruments
I have a Reface DX, which I used quite a bit for gigging as it was on the microphone stand, although later on I just went for sample playing as it was easier! Great little thing though.
